Happy Pixel Day everyone!! And a happy (very late) 20th birthday to Katamari Damacy! I absolutely adore this game and I'm so glad I picked it up last summer, so I decided to do some fake Katamari "demake" screenshots to see what it would look like on the original Gameboy. I think it looks really good! I'm glad I pushed myself out of my comfort zone with the larger sprite size and the limited color pallet, it was such a great challenge. Under the cut are blow ups of the individual pieces, and another spread of just the backgrounds without all of the UI/game elements.

so obviously i dont have time to write a full series of comics continuing this post, but i wanted to show sort of what i imagine happening later down the line b4 the fandoms idea of what friend is is totally shattered.

um but the idea is hes very white diamond's pearl from su coded, he has no mouth and cannot speak unless friend is speaking for/through him.

if what friend actually is still works with this au(?) ill prob rework it a bit and keep drawing more comics bc i love rouxls so much

im not suuper happy with how these ended up but it is how it is. perhaps one day they will be a part of a "core refresh" along with some earlier ones.

anyway this should be the last pastacademy and analog high for a while, i gotta get on that artfight grind!

Hello! Quick question about Pastacademy/Analog High: Who would be the teachers teaching there? I personally think Tara the Android would be a fantastic music teacher!

Aw that would be so cute! I love love love Tara the android.. to be honest, i have been neglecting the “high school” part of everything, which the original monster high did a little too.. like the only teacher that got a doll was headmistress bloodgood i think…

I think slenderman could be a figure of importance at pastacademy, like how the big bad wolf was a teacher at ever after high AND his daughters went there

id also like to make those pun-based classes that monster high always had… soon id like to do little bios for each character, including their favorite classes… theres a lot still left to do!
