Finally made art fight refs for my beloved ocs~

I based them on the Beautiful Katamari online matching game profiles for the cousins! Highly recommend drawing your oc in your program of choice and then doing the text and the background work in canva, it made this soooo much easier!!

It was literally so fun to finalize everyone's base designs and write out their little King Descriptions!!! I've had these characters and used them in fan fiction for over a year now but this is my first time revealing them to the world! Their official pages are linked below the cut :)

Surprise! Here's why I've been MIA all year lol. I entered my first ever cosplay contest as The Queen of All Cosmos from Katamari Damacy. I didn't win, but I learned a TON while working on this project and I had a really great time all things considered! More Con Thoughts under the cut!

This is functioning as a mini article of sorts so I'll keep this quick but WOAH it's been about 6 years since I made a seriously in depth cosplay like this, and the atmosphere around photography and what's appropriate to ask someone in cosplay has changed completely. I had no idea that by saying yes to having my photo taken, I was also saying yes to it being posted online -_-

Ah well, live and learn. Most of the people I met were very lovely, and We All Love Katamari Damacy, but take it from me you should always be aware of your surroundings, move in groups, and trust your gut! If you're uncomfortable with someone talking to you or taking your picture, you ALWAYS have the right to say no (it's so simple, but it totally didn't occur to me in the moment).

I'll have a full blog post detailing how I made the cosplay and how my first time competing went up within the next month or so, because ArtFight will have my primary attention for all of July lol.

The original sketch was a bit wider but with my full time job, my cosplay I'm working on, and getting my wisdom teeth out, I had my hands a little full ngl

Originally they were watching Mita the Housekeeper because of that tweet the king made about the queen watching it but I am incredibly Full House brained at the moment so here we are LOL

I also made a comic book cover version so I can FINALLY reveal this is where that tiny doodle of Wolf from a month ago came from HAHA

This is technically a redraw of one of the book (or maybe magazine??) covers for Earth Defense Girl Iko Chan, which I have never seen but I love the screenshots I've seen from it so there's that at least lol
