In my neighborhood, there is this house that is built on land where once stood another house. The previous house burnt down on Christmas Eve about 30 years ago. They believe the fire was caused by an ember that jumped out of the fire and lit there Christmas tree and presents on fire, but the entire family was killed. About 15 years after the accident is when they started building the house that stands there today. Now when they started building this house they were building it faster than I have ever seen a house be built. It was the biggest house in our neighborhood and still is but you would never know it. Somewhere along the line when they were building progress came to a complete stop, for years. Mind you this a property that some had put at least 150k in and then just stopped. I always had a hunch that the land was cursed due to the horrible death of the family that lived there. So then one day about 4 years after the sudden halt of progress I see people working on it. Well, I guess should say I say evidence of people working on it. Vehicles and materials outside, but never actually saw people working on it. Mind you I live in this neighborhood passing at all hours of the day, day after day. So as the building continues it's turned into this compound looking place. They got 2 fences around in, the inside one is a center block wall, the outside one is barbed wire. Not only do they got fences but they let the trees and bushes grow up around it to the point where you could drive right past it and not see it unless you knew it was there, and we're talking about a 2 story house here. The only time I have ever seen someone come in or out of this place was one time I saw a guy taking out the trash. When he looked at me and skin crawled and all I wanted was for his eyes to not be on me anymore as I drove by. So fast forward to about 2 years ago. I had a friend of mine call me up wanting to come over and smoke some pot cause he and his girl had got in an argument. I said sure even though it was like 1 in the morning; I didn't have shit to do the next day and I'm a night owl anyway. I never talked with my friend about this house before until something happened to him when he left my house around 3. He sent this text but I didn't read it till the next day cause by that time I just went to sleep. As he left he swears to this day that he saw someone carrying out bloody sheets rapped up with a body. I was in shock because I always got this vibe that house would be perfect for the devil's reject type shit but he knew nothing about it. It's not like I could ever tell the police cause I have no evidence of any wrongdoing and they are idiots in my town anyway. So all I'm saying is places that do exist and I live within walking distance of one.
