Working on a New Baby Game!
Okay, so I miss the heck out of Babydow. There has been nothing like it. The company won’t listen to it’s fanbase, so I’m taking matters into my own hands. For years I’ve been on-and-off planning out a new baby game, and I think it may be possible if I find a programmer or two. Hey! I also miss Babydow a lot, and I’d love to see something like it. I’d be more than willing to help out with the art. One of my favorite parts of Babydow was making my own clothes.
Buuuut, as much as I’d love to see this come to fruition, there’s a lot that goes into making something like this. Like, money. You have to pay for the site to be hosted, pay for programmers (they aren’t willing to put in all that work for nothing, even if it’s a project they’re passionate about)… It’s more than just designing cute babies and clothes. I mean, the entire reason Babydow got shut down was because it was operating at a loss. Making this game a reality would be a serious financial investment.
I imagine that’s something you’ve considered since you’ve been planning this for years, but… Yeah. Just some food for thought, I guess.
Yep. It would definitely be a financial investment. That’s why I’m laying everything out and making sure people would be interested first. I figured this wouldn’t become a game right this year. So considering that I will be graduating with my BFA in graphic design in spring and applying to jobs immediately after, I should work on gauging interest in the project now so it isn’t a huge flop and I can get more people giving me feedback on my ideas.
I haven’t used my tumblr in years but i found this. I would absolutely love to participate in any way possible. I LOVE how much work you’ve put into this so far and this is what I’ve been hoping for, for like, forever
