Tanzanite looked to the gems and then back up at the diamond. “But….I thought this was a forbidden practice? Not that i’m accusing you of treason but….” She trailed off looking back at the gems, deep inside of her she felt wonder, a great interest in the fusion. “Out of love…?” She didn’t think it was something that could be done so simply. Then again, her knowledge on the subject was very little. Tanzanite only knew what the Diamond Authority wanted her to know. What all other gems were forced to know.

She smiled and nodded"Yes fusion is always strong with friends but with love its even greater .The fusion lasts longer because its a welcomed experience, its not an instinct or fight for survival .Nor is it forced by parts of gems seeking to be whole again, no fusion like love is lasting and stronger .“ her hand gently picked up the smaller gem and placed her on her shoulder ."So why deny them to fuse? Instead let their love be shared by others who feel the same.

Tanzanite was a bit shocked when Black Diamond picked her up, but didn’t dare to move when placed upon the Diamond’s shoulder.”I....I don’t...” She furrowed her brows a bit, still struggling to comprehend that there didn’t need to be a solid reason behind fusion other than desire. “Does....it make the gems....more efficient...?” She asked, her brain finally being able to work enough to look for more answers. Tanzanite was still quite confused though, It was hard for her to see reasoning behind anything that wasn’t work-related.

"You know you're always welcome in my house!"

“Ah….thank you, Prehnite..” Tanzanite bowed in her direction a bit. “In that case….may I come in?” It had been a while since she last saw the green gem, and frankly. She was a bit glad. Steven hadn’t visited her in quite some time, and things had gotten a bit boring.

Tanzanite briskly strutted down the halls, her long coat billowing behind her. Passing gems turned to salute her as soon as the click of her boot heels was heard. Finally arriving to her destination, she stood before giant doors as they opened. A long and dark corridor led her to what was the center of a poorly lit room. She came to a halt and formed the diamond salute. “Your radiance, you called for me?” Her gaze traveled up to the Diamond in her presence.

She smiled “Yes my little gem i need you …i need a witness to what im going to do to unite all gems both great and small…of course alot of gems are afraid of my methods but once they see how its done they wont have nothing to fear anymore …I hope your not afraid of my little gem, i wont harm you i love all gems big and small.

Tanzanite nodded and crossed her arms in front of herself. “Whatever you do, your radiance, I shall comply with.” Tanzanite figured that whatever the Diamond had planned, it must be something good. After all, she IS a Diamond. What’s the worst that could happen? “I am at your disposal.” She saluted once more, awaiting further orders.

Black nodded and escorted the littke gem to a room with a large window she pointed to a large gathering of gems…almost like the cluster but the gens werent shards they were complete gems.

Tanzanite stared perplexed at the scene before her “M-my diamond.....what is this...?” She looked up at Black, raising an eyebrow “I’m not questioning your actions or motives, but rather....I find that it would allow me to serve you better if I understood what i’m looking at...”

“Wise words. He wouldn’t want me to dwell in the past too much, he’d want me to remember him and everything we had, but still move foroward.”

She smiled, sitting there on an armchair “My life is simple, i perform, i spend time with my family, i tend to my birds, have walks, paint stuff, compose music… much better than my life on Homeworld”

“Any life on Homeworld is worse than death.” It was a harsh statement…but it was more than true. At least, to her it was. “I’m glad life on Earth is different though. It’s like an escape.”

“Couldn’t agree with you more”

She nodded at both of her statements “Even some high class gems like me suffered like hell. I lived in a room and got out of it 70 times in my first 4000 years of life.”

"Hmm.." That was truly saddening. It seemed as if she was only just a toy for Homeworld to pick up and drop when they pleased. Then again, that's what all gems were like over there. "I'm glad you don't have to suffer like that anymore"

“He was… A great man, with a good heart and amazing talent”

Prehnite sipped her tea and glanced at a painting of a man dressed in red clothes, about late 1700.

“Him. I still keep a portrait of him. It feels like he can see how far I’ve come and what I earned thanks to him… Or maybe I’m just weird”

Tanzanite looked at the painting, yes to her, he looked like he had a good heart. She always found it so unfortunate when good people would pass. Those were the people who deserved more time. Tanzanite glanced back to Prehnite. “You’re not weird.” She looked into her glass that still had some tea in it. “I know exactly how you feel.” The round gem she had in her forehead glowed, and from it she pulled out a severely cracked gem. It was a Mint Green Agate.

“Oh…”

Prehnite covered her mouth with a gasp, saddening her expression all of a sudden. That damage was serious, nothing could repair such severely cracked gem, it would take many, many healers.

“I’m so sorry”

Tanzanite nodded a bit before putting the cracked gem back into her own. “It’s ok. It was no one’s fault. The only mistake made was me thinking there was someone to blame.” She took a final sip of her tea. “Time moves on. Things  change. Out the old, knew things bloom. I believe everything is fine as long as we feel in the moment, acknowledge the past, and act for the future.”

“I loved someone too, but she’s gone… and I survived the Diamond’s attack with a psychic shield… I lived among human kind since then”

She sipped hers, blushing a little

“I even loved one… But he’s long gone as well. For three centuries… he gave me the opportunity to sing in the opera and become who I am today”

“Hmmm...” Tanzanite took a few more sips of the tea. “I bet he was wonderful.” She looked out the window, then around the house again. “Your house is lovely.” Tanzanite had seen many different types of homes over the years, and this one was one of the nicest houses. It wasn’t overly complicated, but still captivating. And it wasn’t too big, or too small. It had very good space in Tanzanite’s opinion. Yes, she liked this house very much. Not more than her own home though. She loved her boat wreck. It was cozy. At least, to her it was.

The birds flew on the roof as Prehnite led the blue gem in the house. There was almost any possible art form in there. Paintings, books, movies, instruments, framed artistic photographs. Anything.

“I would offer you something but I don’t know if you eat or drink…”

She blushed, kinda embarrassed. She just wanted to be polite

Tanzanite watched the birds when they flew to the roof. She was amazed by their beauty, she found all things on Earth beautiful. Especially nature. She found even more beauty inside the house, taking in everything she saw. She was amazed by the paintings and photos, and was very curious about each book and what lay between their covers. “I do…from time to time. Mostly around humans.” She slowly spun around to take a general look at everything around her. “To make them comfortable.”

“Got it!”

She went in the kitchen in order to get glasses of fresh green tea from the fridge. She offered one to Tanzanite while she sipped hers

“So, what’s your story? I was Yellow Diamond’s perfect Prehnite, lucid and beautiful. Buuuuut I lived recluded in a tower most of the time”

“Thank you.” She took hold of the cup and took a sip of the tea. Tanzanite was always fond of tea, she definitely preferred it over soda. Her grip tightened on the glass upon being asked about her past. Tanzanite sighed a bit, she decided she’d keep things short and vague for now. “I was Blue Diamond’s top general in the war....then I fell in love...then I fled....and went back to her court again....and now i’m here...” She was still a bit ashamed of her cowardly conduct, but for the most part, she was at peace with herself. She had accepted what happened and wanted to move on. But she could never forget the shards held safely in her gem.

“Hmmmm…parrots…lovely little creatures, they are.” She examined each one, each parrot was cute and unique in it’s own way. You could see their personalities as if they were radiating from their feathers. Tanzanite especially liked one that was sitting on Prehnite’s arm. She extended her arm to try and gently pet it.

“Go on, she’s friendly”

Prehnite whispered the parrot, which hopped on Tanzanite’s arm and walked up to her cheek to mimic kissing sounds on her cheek

“Good boy. So, since I saw you’re friendly, wanna come in the house? Just please don’t break anything. There are somethings that are dear to me”

Tanzanite was still when the parrot walked up her arm. As soon as it made it’s way to her face though, she moved her arm so she could gently pet the bird. She glanced in Prehnite’s direction. “I promise, as long as I am under your roof, I won’t cause harm to any of your belongings.” Tanzanite would definitely be careful not to tip over or scratch anything inside the house.

Prehnite found herself pinned against the ground by an unknown gem. She struggled but this stranger was pretty strong to begin with

“Lady, I think you’re really confused”

The singer cocked one of her eyebrows “I am not terrorizing anyone in this house, this is MY house”

“Glad you understood your mistake, apologies accepted”

She finished to dust herself off and then pointed at the veil that was pulled off in the fight. The veil started to float and inserted itself on her forehead right above her gem

“There”

The tiny jewels that adorned her tiara tingled one into the other.

“… I bet you’ve never seen a Prehnite doing this”

Tanzanite shook her head. “I haven’t seen a Prehnite in a very long time.” She guessed that Prehnites didn’t usually do this, and it was quite the neat trick. It was a very useful one too, and it reminded her of how Peridot could levitate metal objects. Tanzanite glanced at the house before her. “You live alone?”

Tanzanite had attacked the gem, thinking that she was a homeworld soldier. Apparently, her vision was not as great as it usually was. Upon realizing that this gem didn’t belong to Homeworld, she got up, extending her hand to try and help up the Prehnite. “Forgive me, I thought you were a Homeworld gem.” Tanzanite hadn’t seen many gems around but of those she had seen, she had definitely never seen a Prehnite here. Not in these times.

Prehnite dusted herself off and eyed the other gem. Oooohhh right, a Rebel.

“Actually i do come from Homeworld but I’ve been living here since the end of the war”

What kind of gem was she? Oh maybe a Tanzanite. Yes, definitely a Tanzanite.

“You’re a Crystal Gem, right? I never actually bonded with them… I stayed here in secret to go on with my art”

From the windows many musical instruments could be seen, also paintings and many books

“I’m an Opera Singer”

“Yes..I am a Crystal Gem..” Tanzanite glanced at the instruments and books inside, then back at the Prehnite. “An Opera singer? Sounds nice.” She had heard of ‘opera’ but had never heard it before. If this gem was a lover of the arts and not of war then, she would be no threat to the Earth and it’s inhabitants. “Again, i’m sorry for attacking you.”
