She was surprised by the touch, turquoise eyes blinking for a moment before she relaxed. She was still getting adjusted to the environment ( socially, at least ), and the fact that the other didn’t shrink away meant he was either a stranger to who she was or blind to her features. From the way he spoke, he already reminded her of Keritzel a bit. Maybe a little less nerdy.

“They call this place Eidolon, but I’m sure you’ve heard of that, right?” Her breath billowed out before her.  She’d been doing some offhand chores ( out of goodwill, no less ), and it showed from the bundle she had been carrying between the buildings. “You’re not the only one that arrived here like this… I did too, some time ago. It’s definitely away from home, if that’s what you’re wondering.”

She shifted, lifting the bundle and continuing to finish the chore, stacking the materials at a designated shed before returning to the conversation.

“Veloce. Pleasure’s all mine. Anyways… It’s not uncommon for people here to be from different worlds, or so they say. ”

Eidolon. That’s right. Definitely a strange name for a...different world, he supposes. Of course, Zack himself has never been to a different world before now, only knowing the planet of Gaia. Being a member of SOLDIER, he once had the privilege of travelling all across the world, doing what he thought was right to try and keep the peace. He realizes now that Shinra never really had the planet’s...best interests in mind, nor did they seem to care about the people working for them, unless of course they’re high up, like the Turks. Hojo...now there’s someone he can’t stand. What he did to Cloud and him, but especially Cloud, was unforgivable. But it seems as though he can’t do anything about it now.

Regardless, Zack brings himself back to the present after being lost in thought for what feels like forever, though it’s probably only been a few seconds. This girl definitely seems friendly enough and obliging in giving him the info he desires, and thus he gives her a friendly smile while casually kicking at the ground beneath him.

“Eidolon...yeah, I think I remember that name being mentioned. I guess kinda just...abruptly finding ourselves here is a thing that a bunch of the folks here have in common, right? Can’t say I’ve ever been to another world, but I’m definitely not a stranger to new environments.” He takes a moment and nods slightly while extending his hand in introduction, his smile still unwavering. It’s been quite a while since he’s made a friend, honestly. “Veloce, huh? Gotta say, it’s nice that my first run in with someone here isn’t hostile or anything. But anyway, you seem to be onto something there. Definitely lots of kinds of people that I haven’t seen before. Back in my world, Gaia, I’m from a little village called Gongaga.” he says, taking a moment to remember his hometown. Mom, Dad... I hope you guys are okay.

“Well, anyway, I eventually got the chance to travel all over the world, helping people as best as I could in this group I’m...well, once was in, called SOLDIER. Never thought I’d get to go to other worlds like this... But enough about me, what’s your world like, Veloce?”

Usually, the cold weather doesn’t bother him all that much. After all, he was able to trek through Modeoheim in his SOLDIER outfit, which is absolutely not designed to give much protection, if any from freezing cold climates. But the arctic like climate of Eidolon is even more chilling than anything his felt, so much so that he feels the need to move around to try and keep his body temperature up as high as he can get it. And so, he does just that.

To start things off, Zack begins trekking through the snow with a light job, gradually increasing his pace. Eventually, his jogging brings him to the village centre, which burns brightly, just as advertised, and is loaded with people. Though he’s warmed up quite a bit now, he feels he may as well finish up with some squats, even if it is in a public place, not particularly caring if the people standing all around stare at him. If anything, he just takes people’s attention as an excuse to put on a show of sorts.

Finding a decent spot with enough room to stretch out, he begins right away, starting out squatting slowly, throwing his arms out in front of him as he pulls up, and repeats this process, eventually settling for a modest pace. He lets out a soft grunt each time he pulls up.

“Alrighty, I’m feeling pretty warmed up now. Man, it’s been so long since I’ve gotten in exercise like this, it feels pretty great! Man, I thought it’d be tough getting back into this but I feel like I can pick up right where I left off!”

What a day. And that’s putting it relatively mildly. As far as he knows, he’s supposed to be...well, dead. Not even the toughest of SOLDIER members would be able to survive the attack that took him down while trying to get into Midgar. It’s strange to him, he remembers so vividly bleeding out after nearly taking down dozens of Shinra infantrymen with him. So how is that he’s here now? Something doesn’t quite add up here, he thinks to himself.

Whatever the case, it appears that what he’s seeing, feeling, hearing now, is not a dream. He even tries pinching himself really hard a few times just to make sure. But, just like he suspects, the place he’s found himself in, Eidolon, is all too real. One of the first things that comes to mind is Cloud. After he...passed on, did he make it away in one piece? No, he’s sure that Cloud is alright. He remembers now, offering to give Cloud a hand against yet another clash with Sephiroth. He seemed to have grown so much in the time they’d been apart.

Pulling the Buster Sword out from its resting place on his back, and brings the blade close to his face, closing his eyes for a few seconds. “Cloud... I wish I could see you again. This time for real. I’d love to see for myself in person just how strong you’ve become. I knew I was right to entrust you...with my dreams, and my honor.” he says to himself. Being so deep in thought, he practically forgets that he’s standing out in the open, just talking to himself. Maybe it looks strange to others, but he really doesn’t care. “I guess... I’m lucky. Having a second chance at life like this.”

His mind is very foggy. The last thing he remembers before he...passed on from his injuries is giving Cloud his Buster Sword, asking him to live on for the both of them. After that, everything went blank for a while, and before he knows it, he’s in the lifestream, seemingly carried there by someone with an all too familiar white wing. That was supposed to be it, wasn’t it? So how is it that he’s alive now? Is this some sort of dreamland or something? It’s all too strange, first he finds himself miraculously injury free despite his last battle being quite the...bloody one.  And now, he finds himself once again with the Buster Sword. How is that he has it once again?

When he had initially found himself in Eidolon, he immediately left the room he arrived in, now wandering aimlessly outside. The first thing he notices is just how freezing cold it is. Man, he hasn’t experience an arctic climate like this since he went on the mission to Modeoheim with Cloud all those years ago. It’s quite the mysterious location indeed. It appears to be quite barren, and not a lot of people around, at least where he is. However, as luck would have it, he spots someone nearby, not even giving a second thought as he runs over to the person, a young woman by the looks of it.

Walking up to her and tapping her on the shoulder, he gives her a warm smile. “Hey there, miss! I’m uh...sorry to bother you, but I was wondering if you know anything about where we are? I kind of just...woke up in this place, and now I’m a bit lost.” he says, rubbing the back of his head. “The name’s Zack by the way. Nice to meet ya.”

also hello there i’m patrick, but i more often go by patty!! i’m 22 and use he/him pronouns!! i play too many video games but i absolutely adore the kingdom hearts series along with the final fantasy series!! i also rp sora here @ eido and i’m super excited to rp zack for the first time!!

with that said, here comes a starter call!! i’ll try and get to these as soon as i can!! gonna cap it at 5 for now because i still have a ton of replies to get to on sora, but i may very well increase the cap later on!!

hi hello meet zack fair from the final fantasy series, specifically crisis core: final fantasy VII!!

zack fair aka zack the puppy

a mako infused human, meaning he has super human strength

(was) part of the shinra electric power company’s elite fighting squad known as SOLDIER and is among the most elite members, 1st class

like most members of SOLDIER, he loves to fight

he’s been through Some Shit let me tell you, having to watch his mentor die in front of him, watching a former friend he admired a lot lose his mind and burn down a village, and you know, being trapped in a pod for 4 years as a test subject

ever since he was a kid, his biggest dream was to become a hero!!

he is a very soft boy and will always be there for his friends no matter what

if he cares about you deeply, he would literally die for you a thousand times over

he’s also very energetic, you’ll probably seeing him doing his signature squats multiple times a day

overall he’s just such a good boy and everyone should be friends with him, he’s so positive and will always have your back

this boy is also kind of flirty but Very Bad at it

believes in hard work and that the only person you need to strive to be better than is your current self

no one is more important to him than aerith and cloud

all in all i can’t say enough good things about zack fair i love him so much and i hope y’all do as well!!
