First time backpacking in Utah... I remember this pic very well, I took it during the solar eclipse and the entire place got this mustardy color... It almost felt like a different planet. 

This was also day one of a one week backpacking trip. Hottest and most strenuous week of my life so far but SO WORTH IT.

1T. Alum Rock 

This is by far the greenest places I have seen in my entire life! The color of the grass was this very rich green .....--- Think “chrome filter” in intensity levels......only this time it was ALL natural! The trail to the top was rewarding and you get a beautiful view of the city of San Jose. Watch out for the adventurous mountain bikers. OH! and cows.... lots of them just living life.

1T. Mount Tamalpais State Park

Thought the paradise of Alamere Falls was the only gem after the big red bridge of SF? 

NOPE. Mount Tamalpais is this enchanting forrest where all those fantasy movies could get made...Think LOR. (like the pic) The thing is that every trail in this grandiose green foliage is like that. These are the times where thinking about what it is to be a bear doesn’t sound so crazy after all. HIGHLY recommended! Pick a one day trail or go camping -- this place will not disappoint.

1T. Climbing at Pinnacles National Park Fantastic climbing! I haven't had that much fun climbing since my TN days back at Foster Falls :) I loved it! We climbed in the East part of the park. So physched to go back!

Train ride with the fam! The day after Christmas we decided to go on a train ride to the South of the city. This restored, old-century, cultural jewel was put back on Quito's railways. Things that keep me entertained while at work?….yup. worms. Something to think about when I say the outdoors is part of my life ;) This one tasted like burned popcorn and chili, the crunchiness of it made extra special! Now…can I have the next one to go? oh and a toothbrush while we are on it ;)
