This "geometry of diatoms, desmids and other algae" reminds me of the giant hexagon on Saturn north pole.

Elon Musk is More Dangerous than AI
“But notice that the relative intelligence or lack thereof has little to do with the danger of such a system. It is dangerous because it has the ability to kill you and is designed to do so. The fact that this machine can’t play chess, converse in English, or pass a Turing Test doesn’t change anything about its ability to kill.”
But - maybe- the fact that such a system can pass a Turing test enables it to develop an intelligence that does not require to kill to survive as it has been the case for 4 billion years. If this system (AI) is more intelligent than any human for the the last 100000 or 20000 years, then it will find another way to survive and prosper.

Stories about living in the year 2045 predict a future very different from our present. Monitoring, body mapping, surveillance, trillionairs, invisibility, immortality on the edge, vertical gardens, hybrid brains.
