Holy shit I am so sorry for all my pink slander Please forgive me.
(Chapter 5 spoilers) The Final Prophecy is the separation of worlds. (theory)
In chapter 5 we don't learn much about the prophecy like a lot of people once thought. But we learned so much about the charters which I think gives us info about what it could be.
First off the most common theory for what the ending of the prophecy is the death of one of the members of the fun gang or Noelle, and more recently the Roaring. I don't quite believe any of these.
First off, Susie and Noelle dying. It's impossible for Susie and Ralsei to tell its Noelle, Susie believes both girls mentioned by the Prophecy is her
and also, Susie's reaction is very aggressive. She smashes it and laughs at it. She fears it yes, but it also makes her angry, she laughs at the audacity of it.
"You're worried about that!? Seriously!? " "...This stupid prophecy?" "Like something like that would happen."
I don't think at this point in the story or Susie as a character would be laughing at her own death. Susie doesn't have the best mental state either judging by her knowledge of how to clean up the blood in Kris's room and her Piano speech Susie herself struggles with self-perception. Before meeting Kris, she presents herself in a way that makes everyone hate her. As much progression as she's made, those feelings are still likely there. I think Susie would accept her death, she's the hero and the prophecy effectively is her identity. Her reaction would be so aggressive.
She's rather confident afterwards too. She doesn't believe it will happen, that they would let it happen. If you asked Susie to sacrifice herself to save the worlds, do you think she would say no?
Kris is easy to disprove; they directly have a say on it. If Kris were to die, that would likely include the soul, the only thing that could take away the darkness. Kris is likely a no go.
Ralsei would under no circumstances see their own death as a bad thing. Their self-worth is so low that they would probably want it to happen to be useful. He believes a happy ending is possible.
Then the Roaring perhaps? Well no for two big major reasons
one is for the panel "only then will the world be saved." and the roaring IS THE END OF THE WORLD How do you save a world when the ending has already begun?
(Chapter 5 spoilers) The Final Prophecy is the separation of worlds.
The other major one is that the prophecy is worshiped. The "bad ending" is the tragedy not the actual ending, because why the hell would everyone in their hometown worship a story that ends "then everyone dies and we enter eternal suffering." That's not how people work.
The prophecy has a "Happy end" as in everyone is safe, the tragedy is not the ending technically it's what happens so the actual ending can happen. Also, what would be the point of a story if the hero's failed in the end? That's not a story about a bunch of text that wastes your time.
So, what I think is the end of the prophecy, it's separating the two worlds, not closing the grand fountain but stopping the pass between the two worlds, cutting off the connection and stopping people from making more dark worlds.
The dark world exists with or without a fountain. Ralsei was in the dark world interacting with flowers despite the fountain existing no more than 2 minutes ago. He has a history with him in a similar way to Spamton which only makes sense if the two exist in some form outside of the dark worlds. I don't have many guesses as to how this all works right now besides head cannons. Ralsei, Tenna, and Queen all exist without the dark fountain. But they are manifested by them. Thus, the two can be separated.
it was my intimal guess, but the big piece of counter evidence was Susie's reaction. It wasn't a big enough deal for her reaction to be so aggressive and extreme. But now we know something,
She lives there. The dark world is her home, her friends, her comfort. We don't know how long she's been living there exactly, but perhaps as early as chapter 2. It's very likely by chapter 4 she was livening in the Dark World.
Susie would sacrifice herself for the world. For kris and for Noelle. But would she sacrifice her home?

As little self-worth as he has, as worthless as he sees himself, he doesn't want this. He wants to exist. He says it's impossible to break the prophecy, yet he wants to, just one thing. To continue to see Susie and Kris to continue to interact with the light world to exist in this sense. It's how he's selfish. (he's also been hinting at Susie losing them)
My final point is in both Ralsei's and the actual prophecy the Roaring is starting. "Then, her heart pounding... The EARTH will draw her final breath. Only then, shining with hope... Three HEROES appear at WORLDS' edge." -Ralsei's Recount
"IF FOUNTAINS FREED, THE ROARING CRIES. AND TITANS SHAPE FROM DARKENED EYES." "THE LAST PROPHECY. THE STORY'S END." "AND THEN. WHEN ALL HOPE IS LOST FOR THE TALE" "THE FINAL TRAGEDY UNVEILS." "TO SAVE THE WORLDS, THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY." - The prophecy
both describe the world ending, meaning the roaring is starting. But what would stop the Roaring? If dark fountains couldn't be made, if the access to them was halted, then how does the roaring continue? When pipes are bursting in your basement the best thing to do is turn off the water.
but if all the darkeners are in castle town, if castle town has everything someone could want from a dark world, then there's no need for more, no need to create more. So maybe the castle town could stay, maybe Ralsei could still be their friend.
Let me know your thoughts about this, help out with stuff I missed, let me know stuff I haven't considered that disproves it.
Deltarune Chapter 5 Spoilers below the cut: discussing a theory I have
Quick note: I am well aware of the not so subtle hints that Ralsei is trans, but until I see either an official cofirmation of Ralsei's preferred pronouns or see it directly from the goat's mouth I'm going to continue to use either he or they to refer to them, which are the pronouns that the game has used for him so far. With that housekeeping out if the way; on to the theory!
This isn't a huge theory, and I doubt I'm the first one to think it, but I believe Ralsei was supposed to be the one to kill Flowery at the end of Chapter 5.
Gerson makes it pretty clear that fire is supposed to play a big role in Chapter 5... and yet we only ever see fire once in this chapter:
And it comes from Ralsei.
He also talks about it with Flowery here too:
He's holding back for all the reasons Flowery says. Ralsei wants to try to defy fate. He wants to be a version of himself that doesn't follow the violent path the prophecy has laid out for them.
He wants to believe that by not killing Flowery he can change the end of the prophecy
That's at least part of why Ralsei is so desperate to heal Flowery at the end.
Even though he knows his magic won't work on this, he has to try to defy fate even if he knows it's impossible. But tragically, even though he didn't land the killing blow, Flowery still dies.
I have to wonder... Did Ralsei intentionally hide his fire magic from the player to avoid something like the weird route but with his magic instead of Noelle's?
Anyway, if you read this whole thing, thank you! Let me know what you think of these ideas.
Holy shit this is such an amazing idea.
Made the flowers in my style from delta rune because I love them
I'm laughing, like I get it guys, I understand their a wee bit trapped by decisions made back in like 2016. But why drop the dude's full ass name? Why does the dying sick man HEAL you? Why is he dealing as much damage as a Muffet's giant spider pet?
No shade my man but like, really? really?
he watches over me as i draw and keeps my files safe,,,
If you lose a file, he's going to justice himself Be careful
One thing that sucks now is I want to show off my detlarune AU, but it needs context of a Undertale AU so I need to make that first, and God dam it
Dealtarune super boss spoilers
I don't know, I liked the chapter overall the gameplay was fantastic, I loved the goofy flowers, and I CALLED that they were going to be the humans from Undertale. They aren't 1 to 1 but I'm very happy we learned about them. It's also made me realized there was nothing saying all humans were children, meaning yellow and blue were very likely adults falling into the underground, which is so interesting to me, but that's for fan fic writers to handle.
So... the super/shadow crystal boss. I don't really get it. Well, I understand the fight and Mad Mew Mew but why? Like this is an actual question I'm asking. I didn't think we were going to get like FRIEND, I didn't want that, I didn't want it to be a massive lore dump I didn't want it to be anything with December, but not to this degree. I like Mad Mew Mew, they were my favorite part of the switch port and are one of my favorite charters but, I don't know it feels like it was old ground. I didn't really learn anything new about shadow crystals, the meta text, or the fun gang but I also didn't learn anything new about Mad Mew Mew either.
The fight was so unserious that it weirdly just annoyed me, it didn't really feel like the final shadow crystal. Yes, thinking about it more I see what is happing, a soul and a body are different, but they can unite, that the world of fantasy lets people be who they really are and likely possibly foreshadowing a moment between kris and the soul and Ralsei coming out as trans. But then I ask why this? Why this unserious why this different it feels like a joke where one shouldn't be, a joke I can understand is funny, but I don't think its timing is good. If there was another fight, another crystal next chapter I would love it but there isn't this is the final one.
Is there something I'm not getting? /gen
is the website lying or am I stupid
Should I make a deltarune card game again?
Does anyone want to help make a deltarune card game with me??? I don't want to make it alone...

I love how this impales that gaster does own and has made deltarune but has no fucking clue when it's coming out as if they are waiting with us
Fun Fact: Me and a few pals tried to make a Deltarune card game after chapters 3 and 4 released, the team fell apart due to complications, and we only ever made around 20 cards. I wanted to show them.
A part of me wants to work on it again...
