early spring, 2017, feat. @20snat​

at times like this, he wonders why he keeps sticking around. 

his phone rings once; he decides to ignore it. it rings twice; he turns his body from one side to thw other, head rolling off the pillow and right under it. he keeps pressing the pillow against his ear until his fingers go numb. the phone rings for the third time, and he realizes he won’t be able to put it off for a moment longer.

it’s two in the morning and the phone shines too brightly despite shin not having fallen asleep yet. he squints, then frowns. shin wishes he was actually rude enough to hang up.

“what?” he groans into the phone, but natalie isn’t complaining and being the usual annoying drunken mess as quickly as he’s used to. shin clears his throat, and tries again. “hello?”

“hello, i’m sorry to disturb you at this time, but-” but natalie is passed out in some very inconvenient place, and his number was the last one she both called and messaged. he wonders if she has any other closer friends like she claims.

at times like this, he wonders why’s he keeps sticking around. it’s as if natalie herself keeps grabbing his hands and his shirt with her cold, uncoordinated fingers, and pulling him back, you’re not going anywhere, she had told him recently. he finally realizes she might not have been kidding when she said that.

“natalie, get up.” he towers over the figure slumping against the table. she sways slightly. he hopes he doesn’t have to carry her home. he still doesn’t know where she lives. “natalie.” shin speaks again, harsher this time, and by now, the ahjumma that had called him possibly regrets it. he grabs a fistful of her jacket and yanks her up, hands on her upper arms, bracing her. 

he turns her around and finally looks at her (disgusting) face. he sighs. “why is all of this supposed to be my problem?” shin’s voice softens as he brushes a few stray hairs off her face, then takes her belongings in one hand, his other arm wrapping around her shoulders. 

“delete my number.” he demands as they walk.

hellooo, the name’s ivy and i’m that one person that lives on the other side of the world!! i’m also the dumb med student who spends most of her time NOT studying, hence i’m here. u can also find me on twitter @ivee026_ but i’m slow there bc idk how to use twt lmao. but enough about me, i’m actually here to (very excitedly) introduce you my sad child shin. below are some little things and facts about him, if you’d like to read, and idk like for plotting?

does he wear anything other than black? most likely not

will tell you you look ugly if it’s true

generally means well, he just won’t lie to make you feel better

if he was a ruler of a country, he’d be a dictator (not necessarily an evil one)

gets nauseous if his life is not organized 

gets nauseous if things don’t go his way in general

did i mention he’s a control freak?

treats people like children that are incapable of coherent thought and decisions

example - treats a certain kim natalie like a dog that needs some serious obedience training

surprisingly has a friend of 23 years that hasn’t plotted to kill him yet

find him looking pissed at clubs often enough

find him looking pissed pretty much anywhere, e.g. glaring at a box of cookies at the store

i imagine you could probably hear muffled, constant screaming in his head if you listened, i.e. acts chill, isn’t chill, tries to ignore it

won’t fight you but will make you want to fight him

so tired of life™

ain’t a bad person, though, generally means well

doesn’t really mind helping people

wishes to become a psychiatrist like his grandpa

from a v rich doctor family, see him throwing out designer clothes when he spills a drop of coffee on them

watched his father slowly lose it after his mother died, and decided he would flee the country if he was ever diagnosed with a terminal condition
