I don’t wanna meet the boys as a fan??? like, go to a meet and greet, or like run into them on the street or in an airport. like…. idk I’ve never really wanted that. and I can’t even really explain why.

because that would be amazing, right? and fans who have met them that way say it was awesome and that they’re so nice and that they always try to give them as much time as possible. but I don’t wanna meet them as a fan.

honestly, I don’t have to ever meet them. it’s probably best that I don’t, but if I did, I’d wanna meet them as a peer.

Big News (I’m gonna barf)

I’ve been messaging small bands/artists on IG and offering to do video editing for them for free, just to build up a resume. I’ve made contacts but haven’t had any work yet, anyways—

I messaged a band expecting the same result I’ve gotten dozens of times except that didn’t happen. they responded. eagerly. and no they don’t want me to just edit???? they want me to come to their show?????? and FILM them??????? Live?????????? I have a press pass and everything????????????? and it’s a super small venue and they’re a small group so I’ll probably be the only one there besides they’re own guy (if they have one).

mind you, I’ve filmed sporting events for high school kids. never live music. I have no idea what I’m doing and I’m going to throw up. like…….. I feel like I tricked them???? but I didn’t. all I said was “I can edit videos for you” and they said “okay come film our show we got you a pass” and I’m like “that’s not what I said but okay bet”.

and said band??????? they know twenty one pilots. they’re from Ohio. they’re friends with Tyler Joseph’s brother.

guys I’ve had two panic attacks about this because I’m so excited but TERRIFIED. this is so big for me and I do not wanna fuck it up — someone help.

I did it. Jady were the nicest guys ever, so excited to be there. I got a lot of cool videos for them. the imposter syndrome left as soon as they started.

yknow i appreciate mark getting a professional dvd printer and disc art but when he said he'd do the physical release on his own i kinda hoped it would be like when people used to rip their own dvds back in the aughts and i would just get a clear plastic case containing a plain dvd with iron lung written on it in sharpie

some people create an OC as wish fulfillment to ship themselves with canon characters but I follow the Markiplier way of OC Wish Fulfillment by making a character (slightly based off of me) and torturing them far past what a normal human being could withstand and then some.

……. I should probably talk about that with a professional but I can’t afford it.

things I learned from the Summit today:

Tyler loves land. if he’s not working on music odds are he’s somewhere on a tractor digging a hole.

he loves trees and can name them and does even though no one cares.

if he wasn’t a musician he’d be a really good gym teacher.

I also learned a lot about video production and creative stuff but yall don’t wanna hear me yap about color theory and stuff.
