On this beautiful day, last summer, @sacredlifepath took @emmagracecoronado and I on a beautiful walk through this magical grove of Redwood trees. Today, I am reminded of Shalimar's likeness to the mighty Redwood. Redwoods are known to draw power to Earth from Heaven. They are also symbols of wisdom, independence and communication. Redwoods are often referred to as "survivor trees", as they protect themselves from rot and insects and they are also fire resistant. Indigenous peoples called these glorious trees "Grandmother" as they are the most ancient and knowledgeable trees on Earth. When they are cut down or die, a new tree sprouts from their roots. The roots never die. Like these trees, Shalimar is a reminder of the mystical union we share with nature, the sacred knowledge that is available to us and that we can always choose to stand firm in our truth and know that we are beautiful.
