Running on two hours of sleep, I wandered into a small old used-book shop in an alley the morning after a long 13 hour overnight shift. I was more or less sleep-walking. Soft jazz played while a cat followed me around the shop. I would think I imagined the whole strange occurrence if not for having this book and these photos. The cat’s name is Leo.
