so here we are
it's 2026. who wouldve thought that i'd get to live this long? im turning 30 this yr, and i remember thinking to myself back in college that id only live til 18. some things have changed, but some things are definitely the same. surprise, you're still single. some of your friends are married and engaged, and you're at a point where you've accepted the possibility that being in a relationship may not be for you. no one can tell you that you didn't try -- because you actually tried so hard. you were on dating apps for years, went on dates, and tolerated some shit from guys who didn't know what they wanted in life. it's okay, though. yesterday, you want out to see a movie with your mom and sister. and you kept thinking to yourself: there must be a reason why you're single, and i think it's because i would rather spend my free time with my mom and sister than with someone else. does it make sense? my sister is planning to migrate, and my mom is getting old. the truth is, i think my time with them is running out. not that i'm dying. we're just getting old. life, i guess.
honestly, i feel so lost right now. but it's not the first time that i've felt this. maybe it just feels a bit different because i'm a full-grown adult? but hey, if this isn't the first time that i've felt this way, then i'd probably figure things out.
