Hello! Just officially submitting the ask for ship hcs about Kirumi/Korekiyo here ( ̀⌄ ́) I personally see Kirumi as a bit slow to warm up to a relationship and them overall being a pretty subtle, mature couple, so I’d love to see what ideas you have for the dynamic!
Hey there, lovely grasshopper! This will be the first time I do anything for Kirumi and Kiyo in general and as a ship. I'll be going swimming here sometime soon, so sorry if I rush or if these hcs are a bit lackluster! I'll try my best with these two, so let's do this!
I, too, can see Kirumi being a bit slow to warming up to the relationship, or frankly, a relationship in general. She's practically spent all of her life being selfless and making sure everyone around her was safe and sound. Being a maid has mainly shaped her selflessness as said maid, but also as a person in general. She'll basically do anything and everything people ask her to do, and despite how time-consuming and/or difficult it may be, she does it all with a smile on her face, no matter what she may be feeling on the inside
Kirumi: As a maid, it is my absolute duty to meet people's needs and wants
Kiyo, completely prepared to give her his love and support: Allow me to introduce myself
Kiyo absolutely loves talking about anthropology (obviously lol), and anything tied into it. He especially enjoys discussing how psychology plays a part in anthropology, and while he's talked to a few friends/classmates in the past, they either zone out or accidentally fall asleep halfway through. They mean well, of course, and Kiyo knows that. But it still saddens Kiyo whenever either case scenario happens. So when he decides to ramble on and on and on to Kirumi, and sees that she's not only listening, but is also genuinely interested?
Cue the arrow-right-into-the-heart scene!
Kirumi finds Kiyo's immense passion for anthropology very nice and admirable, and hearing him ramble only shows her just how passionate and knowledgeable he is about it. Sometimes, she'll step out, but only to make them tea and some snacks. Otherwise, she can sit there for hours and listen to him, and sometimes, she'll even ask him some follow-up questions (which only makes Kiyo even more happy)
Kiyo is definitely the first one to fall in love, with Kirumi taking a bit longer. Kiyo admires Kirumi's inner and outer beauty, and sometimes says things (that are true, of course) in hopes that she'll ask a follow-up question or two. He also acknowledges (and admires) her selfishness, but does agree that it needs to be minimized, to a certain degree (basically, he agrees that she needs to learn and practice self-care more often)
Kiyo likes to constantly leave roses all over the place for her. I don't mean just anywhere in her room. Kirumi has found roses in the kitchen, the laundry room, and even on the couch. There's always little, inspirational and encouraging notes left along with the roses, too, and she always pockets/saves the roses and little notes, unaware as to who's leaving them
Imagine Kiyo worried about ten different ways that Kirumi could reject him, only for her to actually say yes. Hey, I can't entirely blame him; it be like that sometimes
Kiyo is patient when Kirumi has trouble warming up to the relationship, because he understands why. Like stated, she's been selfless all her life; he gets that. He takes it nice and slow, and eventually, she warms up to the relationship
Kirumi's a bit stiff about physical affection at first, but not because she's not used to it. She's just not used to accepting it. She's been hugged by many other people before, but she'd never hug back, and it was because she felt like she didn't deserve the affection. Kiyo makes sure to reassure her that she deserves that and much, much more, and soon, she starts genuinely accepting it
In terms of PDA, they do keep it to simple hand-holding and hugs. But if someone tries flirting with Kirumi, Kiyo fucking beats them up once Kirumi leaves for something keeps her close and gives that person that glare. You know the one; that one
Kiyo usually calls Kirumi 'my precious jewel' or 'my precious darling', while Kirumi occasionally calls Kiyo 'my dear lump of sugar' (get it? 'Cause he's sweet to her? Okay sorry I'll go now--)
Also, Kiyo is definitely the little spoon in this ship. Sorry, I don't make the rules here
Kiyo helps Kirumi practice self-care by letting her relax/take a nap while he does the chores (ex. Cleaning, cooking, doing laundry, etc.). She always resists, but Kiyo reassures her that it's fine and starts doing the chores anyway. At first, she just sits in her room and thinks about how she can help him (and even attempts to help him at times, only to be kissed and have her offer politely declined), but eventually, she starts relaxing whenever Kiyo does the chores. She likes to take naps, but for the most part, she enjoys sewing clothes and trying on new make-up
Kirumi surprising Kiyo by picking him up bridal style and showing him just how strong she is? Yes and yes. Thank you for asking
Thanks for sending this ship in! I really enjoyed doing this rare pair, and these two in general
