Favourite steddie fics?? Oh god that's difficult. I never know how to answer this because there are so many fics that I absolutely adore..... I think I'm just gonna go with my gut and recommend two completely different fics that are always on my mind.

Prism - by Oonionvhiver and honeyvenom - a long and gruesome dark fiction fairy tale. A fever dream and a nightmare all rolled into one. Read the warning wall and prepare your heart for destruction.

Workin' It Out (Halfway There Babygirl) - by blissedoutvixen - Steve and Eddie fuck in the gym and it's glorious 😌✨

Hi!! Yes I have!! I love that fic! 🖤✨ eddywow has been one of my favorite steddie writers for the longest time now! They were also one of the very first authors I read back in 2022.

Also thank you so much, that's so kind! Unpopular opinion I know, but I love Eddie with a buzzcut! There's something so surreal, haunting and dark about seeing him like that. It's like seeing an angel without his wings

As for mythology, I usually associate Steve with sirens and Eddie with dragons or winged creatures in general. Or werewolves!!! Eddie would make such a HOT werewolf.

First of all I’m sorry it took me a while to answer! This got lost amongst other asks and I only came across it again today (I'm cleaning my inbox) 😭 What a lovely ask!!!! And good for you for getting back into writing! I’m very proud of you!! 💖💗🥰💞

God, that's difficult to answer!! i have so many random scenarios I’d love to read about! I wouldn’t really consider my tastes rare though? I think there are already SO many incredible mean dom Eddie, age-gap, obsession, murder boyfriends, freak4freak Steddie fics out there 🖤

But you know what kind of fic I think we’re lacking?? or at least one I personally haven’t found in the steddie fandom quite yet? Dark medieval. And I’m not talking about the “tragic love story, prince x knight, they both die at the end” kind of medieval. I mean the “filthy, violent, morally ugly” kind of medieval. The "shit in a bucket" type of medieval. Like a prisoner and an executioner. Grit under your fingernails, stained rags, wet soil, sheep skins, relic bones, barefoot in dark woods, love as mutual destruction. THE PLAGUE!!!!!

As for a rareship? My favourite rareship in the ST fandom is Billy x Chrissy. I love them to DEATH. I especially love the idea of them finding each other in the UD/vecna’s mind and having to escape the horrors together while bonding over shitty parents and society’s expectations. The mommy/daddy issues would be through THE ROOF with those two!! URGH

And again. Steve x Argyle ?? Idk. I think they would work better than anyone thinks!

Asereje blasting from the speakers, the air thick with heat and sugar and salt. Steve in a baby tee, low-rise jean shorts, a bead waist chain, fake glitter tattoos, a tiny belly piercing dangling every time he moves. An hibiscus flower tucked somewhere in his hair, waves messy and perfect. Tan lines peeking above his waistband, freckles scattered over his shoulders and sun-kissed cheeks. His arms are up, head thrown back, eyes closed, completely lost in the music. One hand grips a piña colada and the other presses against some random man’s chest as he dances.

And Eddie’s watching from afar. Quiet and starving. Fucking jealous.
