The presser was really bad.

Joe Biden gave a rare public speech in his home state of Delaware today and afterwards took questions from reporters in what ended up proving to be a disastrous press conference.

Various video clips from the presser showed Biden, the presumptive 2020 Democratic presidential nominee, at times appearing out of sorts and unsure of himself. In one clip, Biden awkwardly admits he was given a list of reporters to call on by his campaign staffers:

This is a classic example of how you can sully magnificent work with hateful views.

You want to portray God as a black woman?

OK, fine. No problem as far as I’m concerned. I don’t tie God down to any image in particular. So I’m open to seeing anyone’s interpretation.

And yes. This is stunning work.

OK. I’m not altogether enchanted by the copying of actual Renaissance paintings and just swapping white males for black woman.

I’d prefer to recognise the style. But with completely fresh images.

However. This is the artist’s work and she may do it as she pleases.

The Virgin and Child ones look the most original. And she’s made them look like photographs. Wonderful. So much warm and bright colour. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

But then a load of stinking manure is dropped onto all this Spiritual Beauty.

She reduces the entire art world down to ‘pale and male’. As a criticism.

What rubbish. There’ve been many female and non white artists. Herself included.

(No. I’m not good at names. But I’ve seen plenty of work where the artist has been female or not white.

Though this is immaterial. Because I’ve remembered liking the work. More than the biology of the artist.)

Why not just allow us to enjoy her work and her vision of The Creator on their own merits?

Without racial and sexual insults at fellow artists?
