Specializing in reclaimed railroad wood and hardware, Rail Yard Studios created this unique wine rack from sixteen pieces of rail from the Tennessee Coal, Iron and Railroad company circa 1906. The timber has been finished with an oak stain and poly seal. Each piece is individually numbered and tagged with a tie date nail from 1925.

One of my personal disappointments with the release of Apple's iPad was that I could not use it as a true tablet in the designer's sense. I was hoping for a tool that would expand on the positives of iOS an add in additional Wacom-like functionality. That didn't happen but luckily there are some product designers out there that wanted the same thing. Cregle's iPen is not the first iPad stylus, but it may be the most useful, the most precise and feature rich. A fully backed Kickstarter project, the iPen is slated to ship in January and may be the closest thing we designers have to Wacom like functionality in our iPads.

While the bow tie may not be my personal go-to choice for male neckwear, I cannot sit and deny that they're making a come back. We usually don't tend to feature on the cusp type products as we believe that if you see something cool, you should be able to acquire it on the spot.
