Day 31
So I did it -- kind of. I'm at 146. Four pounds down from 30 days ago.
What I did: ate less than 25 net carbs a day. Tried to eat higher fat than protein. Allowed myself to drink zero carb alcohol and the occasional glass of wine or two.
What I didn't do: I meant to track my macros and calories during the week, but became completely lax on that and after the first week, never did! So I probably ate too many calories to see a real loss. On the other hand, I never cheated -- as in, I never ate a cracker, cookie, piece of bread, cake, anything.
I guess I'm feeling a little bitter that I haven't lost more, especially as many people would say most of this 4 pounds is just water weight. The right thing to do would to try this while tracking -- even for a week -- but I so don't have the type of dedication it takes to measure every morsel of food I put in my mouth. Sigh. Maybe I don't want to lose weight very much.
