Ramadan Mubarak!
JazakhALLAH khairun for answering my questions about ruqyah shariah! Also, 'Eid Mubarak! In sha ALLAH ALLAH azza wa jal will bless you and your family with a wonderful 'Eid filled with barakah! :)
Eid Mubarak!! May Allah (swt) bless you and your family ❤️In'Sha'Allah
JazakhALLAH khairun for answering my question! The 70,000 comes from Al-Bukhaari (6472) & Muslim (220) narrated by Ibn Abbas where Rasoolullah (saALLAHU aleyhi wa salam) said, “Seventy thousand of my ummah will enter Paradise without being brought to account; they are the ones who did not ask for ruqyah or believe in omens or use cautery and they put their trust in their Lord.” So I guess I'm asking, if you have jinn possession can you do ruqyah shariah on yourself and still be of these 70,000?
Okay I understand what your saying now :) I did some further research and found that you are encouraged to do ruqyah on yourself rather than ask someone else to do it for you. Because this proves your trust in Allah (swt), and from what I understood if you do ruqyah on yourself and have proven your trust, then you can be one of the 70,000. The following quotes is where I got the information from and also listed the link below! Hope this helped!
“The one who asks for ruqyah from others is not included in that seventy thousand who will enter Paradise without being brought to account, due to the shortfall in their trust in Allah, because asking for ruqyah involves a kind of humiliation and need of the raaqi (the one who performs ruqyah), and part of complete trust and Tawheed is that the Muslim should not ask people for anything. “
“That is because these people will enter Paradise without being called to account because of the perfection of their Tawheed, therefore he described them as people who did not ask others to perform ruqyah for them. Hence he said “and they put their trust in their Lord.” Because of their complete trust in their Lord, their contentment with Him, their faith in Him, their being pleased with Him and their seeking their needs from Him, they do not ask people for anything, be it ruqyah or anything else, and they are not influenced by omens and superstitions that could prevent them from doing what they want to do, because superstition detracts from and weakens Tawheed.”

Assalamu aleykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh! JazakhALLAH khairun for producing such a lovely blog and for spreading khair for the believers during Ramadan! I wanted to ask you about a hadith you posted (narrated by 'Ibn Abbas) about ruqyah. Is it that the person who recites it on themselves isn't of the 70,000? Also what about those who have jinn possession, 'ayn, or sihr cast on them and ruqyah is really the only way (if ALLAH azza wa jal allows) for them to heal?
Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. I’m sorry, I can’t exactly understand what your referring to with the number 70,000. :( But The Holy Prophet did say that for one who leaves home and recites Ayatul Kursi, Allah will send 70,000 Angels (For him only, because he is the one that has recited it) to do Istighfaar for him until he returns home, and upon his return Poverty will be removed from him. Outside of those words, however I do know of people who recite Ayatul Kursi and then blow on the others around them, therefore everyone receives the same protection. Also, yes from my research, all articles say ruqyah as prescribed in sharee’ah is the way to heal those possessed by Jinn. HOWEVER, it is important to know that there are two types of ruqyah. The pemissiable one by the Quran and Sunnah is Ruqyah Sharee’ah. And the PROHIBITED Ruqyah Shirkiyah.
Ar-Ruqyah Ash Shar'eeyah : it has three conditions. Ibn Hajar (rahimuhullah) said there is a consensus on the using of Ruqyah if three conditions are met:It must be with the speech of Allah (Qur'aan) and his names and attributes. It must be in the Arabic language, or what is known to be its meaning in other languages. To believe that Ruqyah has no benefit by itself, but the benefits are from Allah. Ar Ruqyah Ash Shirkiyah: this contradicts the conditions of Ruqyah Ash Shar'eeyah and has in it Shirk, associating partners with Allah. It leads a person to his destruction in this life and the next and increases calamities and sicknesses. This type of Ruqyah is PROHIBTED, from the statement of the Prophet (saws) This type includes: Magic (whether learning, practicing, or teaching it), Fortune telling, Horoscopes, superstitious belief, and at-Tameemah ( charms and amulets).
Day 30 - What can you do after Ramadan?
Alhamdullilah, we have gotten to experience another month of Ramadan. This month went by so fast, it makes me so sad! But it doesn’t all just end here. Instead of going back to the life we lived before Ramadan, how about we make an effort to take all the values, knowledge, and great habits we’ve created this month and continue to use them every day. Let’s continue to strengthen our iman even after Ramadan ends. For me, starting this blog has allowed me to learn so much about Islam. I’ve learned so much about what’s right and wrong, but furthermore, I have finally understood exactly why Allah (swt) has guided us the way he has. While I researched topics every night, I was repeatedly left in awe, by the beauty and wisdom of Allah (swt). Thank you to everyone who has supported this page and I hope you have taken something from this blog that may have changed your life, because I definitely have. That being said, here are a couple of tips on continuing your habits after the month of Ramadan. And Eid Mubarak to you all! :)
Make Dua to Stay Productive: We complete the month of Ramadan with remarkable levels of spirituality and positive energy. Shaytan, who has been held for the past 30 days, will intensify his efforts to take this spirituality away as soon as possible. The conflict between our ego, our spirituality and shaytan is not a battle that we can win easily. Making dua is essential to guarantee Allah’s support throughout our daily struggles. One of the most beautiful Prophetic duas for holding on to our spirituality and productivity is the following: ‘O You Who makes hearts steadfast make our hearts steadfast in adhering to Your religion.’ (‘Allahuma, ya Muthabbet al-qulub, thabbet qalbi ala deenek’) [Ibn Majah]
Pay Attention to Your Environment: Many of us have normal routines such as having a morning coffee or breakfast at work. Unconsciously, we miss doing some mistakes we used to do as well. Returning to our daily routine will include returning to the same environments that bring up those unpleasant desires again (extra free time and energy to waste, friends you used to smoke or waste time with, gossip or even miss salah). Paying attention to your environment is essential to sustain your productivity. When shaytan tries to seduce us, he does not come with his red horns and stick, trying to convince us to return to our old destructive habits. He will take on many forms and shapes, and the old unpleasant company is one of the most efficient sneak-back strategies. Try to eliminate or avoid unproductive environments as much as you can. You can knock the door of your friends’ hearts with a word of caring advice – perhaps they need help and could change. But be cautious: destructive company will drag you over to their side if you cannot drag them to yours!
Commit to Attending a Weekly Halaqa: Doing ibadah is easy in Ramadan because of the collective focus on it. It is a universal month when all Muslims around the world engage in more ibadah and ritual worship. The act of fasting itself is a good reminder about focusing on staying spiritually productive throughout the day. However, after Ramadan you need extra reminders to boost your motivation because you will not have the same communal support as before in performing ibadah. Moreover, with the busy pace of life, we gradually lose our spiritual energy. Attending halaqa (religious study group) once a week is a great way to bring us back to and stay on the right track. It keeps you aware of Allah and helps you keep your Afterlife in view always. Attending halaqa keeps you in good company: people whom you can discuss your religious feelings, reflections and experiences with.
Set a New Schedule: Having a new schedule is absolutely essential. Your new plan should comprise at least 30% of what you achieved during Ramadan. You can review each activity you performed in Ramadan and include at least 1/3rd of it in your new schedule. Set monthly missions like: helping a friend, giving sadaqah (charity), doing dhikr, reading a specific amount of the Qur’an, voluntary fasting, etc. Always specify the quantity of your goals and stick to deadlines you can commit to. Do not exaggerate or try to replicate your Ramadan schedule. I know you will find the new schedule very minimal when you compare it with what you did during Ramadan, but consistency is what matters now. Our beloved prophet said: “The most beloved deed to Allah’s is the most regular and constant even though it were little.” [Bukhari]
Don't fall apart once you make one mistake: The beauty of Tawbah (repentance) in Islam, is that Allah blesses us with this opportunity to return back to Him after doing something wrong. We should remember that we are humans and that we will err. Only Allah is Perfect. This is why, for instance, if we were able to pray on time all through Ramadan, but become slack afterwards, we must realize it, seek Allah's forgiveness sincerely, and try our best to get back on track, asking Allah to help us.
Day 29 - 25 Promises
Establishment on Earth: “Allah has promised, to those among you who believe and work righteous deeds, that He will, of a surety, grant them in the land, inheritance (of power), as He granted it to those before them; that He will establish in authority their religion, the one which He has chosen for them and that He will change (their state), after the fear in which they (lived), to one of security and peace: They will worship Me (alone) and not associate any partner with Me. Allah will pay them in full: “As to those who believe and work righteousness, Allah will pay them (in full) their reward, but Allah loves not those who do wrong.” [Al Qur’an 3:57]
The grace and kindness of Allah: “…for Allah is full of grace to those who believe.” [Al Qur’an 3:152]
Allah will be with you: “…for verily Allah is with those who believe.” [Al Qur’an 8:19]

This is indeed the highest Achievement” [Al Qur’an 57:12]
Jannah: “Give glad tidings to those who believe and work righteousness, that their portion is Gardens, beneath which rivers flow. Every time they are fed with fruits therein, they say: “Why, this is what we were fed with before,” for they are given things in similitude; and they have therein companions pure (and holy), and they abide therein (for ever).” [Al Qur’an 2:25]
Forgiveness/Maghfirah: “To those who believe and do deeds of righteousness has Allah promised forgiveness and a great reward” [Al Qur’an 5:9]
Peace and security: “It is those who believe and confuse not their beliefs with wrong that are (truly) in security, for they are on (right) guidance.” [Al Qur’an 6:82]
Blessings/Barakah:“If the people of the towns had but believed and feared Allah, we should indeed have opened out to them (all kinds of) blessings from heaven and earth, but they rejected (the truth), and We brought them to book for their misdeeds.” [Al Qur’an 7:96]
Guidance/Hidayah: “Those who believe, and work righteousness, their Lord will guide them because of their faith, beneath them will flow rivers in gardens of bliss.” [Al Qur’an 10:9]
A good ending: “For those who believe and work righteousness, is (every) blessedness, and a beautiful place of (final) return.” [Al Qur’an 13:29]
Steadfastness and firmness/Thibaat: “Allah will establish in strength those who believe, with the word that stands firm, in this world and in the Hereafter; but Allah will leave, to stray, those who do wrong, and Allah does what He wills.” [Al Qur’an 14:27]
Protection from Shaitaan: “No authority has he (i.e. Shaitaan) over those who believe and put their trust in their Lord.” [Al Qur’an 16:99]
No effort will be wasted: “As to those who believe and work righteousness, verily We shall not suffer to perish the reward of any who do a (single) righteous deed.” [Al Qur’an 18:30]
Allah will erase the evil: “Those who believe and work righteous deeds, from them shall We blot out all evil (that maybe) in them, and We shall reward them according to the best of their deeds.” [Al Qur’an 29:7]
Victory: “We will, without doubt, help our Messengers and those who believe, (both) in this world’s life and on the Day when the Witnesses will stand forth” [Al Qur’an 40:51]
The mercy of Allah/Rahmah: “Then, as to those who believed and did righteous deeds, their Lord will admit them to His Mercy. That will be the achievement for all to see.” [Al Qur’an 45:30]
The protection and friendship of Allah: “Without doubt, amongst men, the nearest of kin to Ibrahim, are those who follow him, as are also this Messenger and those who believe: And Allah is the Wali [protecting friend] of those who have faith.” [Al Qur’an 3:68]
Love for them: “Verily, those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, the Most Gracious will bestow love for them.” [Al Qur’an 19:96]
Allah will save you: “In the end We deliver Our Messengers and those who believe (to safety) Thus is it fitting on Our part that We should deliver those who believe.” [Al Qur’an 10:103]
Asalaamu Walaikum, as it's the last day of Ramadan and tomorrow (Sunday) is Eid for a lot of Muslims, I just wanted to know if this blog is still going to stay active outside of Ramadan? Also JazakAllahu Khaiyran for all your posts, I've found them useful during Ramadan :D xx
Walaikum Assalam! I’m working on the final posts right now, will be up soon :) Honestly, I probably won’t be posting every single day as I did this month because my classes will start, but inshaAllah I will post something new every now and then! If you have any suggestions on what I can do on here after Ramadan please let me know :) And that makes me so happy!! I am so happy to have learned so much myself this month as well as sharing it with all of you. Thank you so much for supporting!
Day 28 - 20 Causes of Forgiveness of Future Sins
1. Perfecting one's ablution
"No worshipper perfects his ablution except that his past and future sins are forgiven." (Hasan, al-Bazzaar. Al-Haythami and al-Mundhiri agreed.)
2. Fasting the month of Ramadan with belief and seeking Allah's reward
"Whoever fasts Ramadan out of Iman and seeking Allah's reward then his past and future sins are forgiven." (Hasan, Ahmad. Declared Hasan by adh-Dhahabi, as mentioned in al-Mughni (5876).)
3. Performing the night prayer in Ramadan with belief and seeking Allah's reward
"Whoever stands (in prayer) in Ramadan out of Iman and seeking Allah's reward then his past and future sins are forgiven." (Saheeh. an-Nasaa'i.)
4. Performing the night prayer on the Night of Qadar with belief and seeking Allah's reward
"It (Laylatul-Qadr) is in Ramadan, and expect it in the last ten days; it is on an odd night: on the 21st, or the 23rd, or the 25th, or the 27th, or the 29th, or on the last night (of Ramadan). He who performs the night prayer on it out of belief and seeking Allah's reward his past and future sins are forgiven." (Narrated by Ahmad. There is a difference of opinion among scholars regarding this Hadeeth, some declaring it weak and some Hasan. Al-Hafidh Ibn Hajr said in Al-Fath (4/116), "This addition – meaning, 'and future (sins)' – is also in 'Ubadah bin as-Samit's Hadeeth, in (the Musnad of) Ahmad, in two narrations. Its chain is Hasan and it is supported by the previous chain.")
5. Praising and thanking Allah after eating and putting one's clothes on.
"Whoever ate a food and then said, 'Praise be to Allah who has fed me this food and provided it for me, without any strength or power on my part', is forgiven his past [and future*] sins. And whoever wears a garment and says, 'Praise be to Allah who has clothed me with this (garment) and provided it for me, without any strength or power on my part', is forgiven his past and future sins." (Ibn Majah, Abu Dawud, at-Tirmidhi, an-Nasa'i, al-Bukhari in al-Kabeer, al-Hakim, Ibn Sunni and Ahmad. The addition marked by (*) is related by Abu Dawud. Shaikh Al-Albani declared the Hadeeth Hasan in Saheeh al-Jaami' (6086) and in al-Irwaa' (1989). He said in al-Irwaa', "Such a Hadeeth causes hesitation between making it Hasan (good) and Da'eef (weak). Maybe the first one is closer to be the truth, because those who made it weak didn’t explain it and didn’t explain the reason for its weakness. Allah knows best.")
6. Getting old in Islam
"No one reaches forty years in Islam except that Allah protects him from madness, leprosy and leucoderma. When he is fifty, Allah makes easy his reckoning. When he reaches sixty, Allah grants him repentance. And when he reaches seventy, Allah loves him and the inhabitants of the heavens love him. And when he reaches eighty, Allah accepts his good deeds and overlooks his sins. When he reaches ninety, Allah forgives his past and future sins, he is named 'the prisoner of Allah on earth' and is granted intercession (for forgiveness) for his family." (Hasan, Ibn 'Asakir. Ahmad Shakir said in his notes to Al-Musnad (8/23,25): "Its chain is at least Hasan. It is supported with other chains which raise it to the level of Saheeh.")
7. Leaving the following: performing Ruqia (curing with Quran), seeking having Ruqia performed on one, cauterization, believing in bad omens.
Narrated Ibn 'Abbas (May Allah be pleased with him): Allah's Messenger (p.b.u.h.) said, “…I was told: ‘These are your people and amongst them there are seventy thousand who shall enter Paradise without being taken to either account or torment.' …'They are those who do not make Ruqia nor seek it, nor believe in bad omens, but trust in their Lord (Allah).'" (Bukhari and Muslim)
8. Whose two or three children die and he remains patient
"Whoever buries three children, Allah will forbid the Fire for him." (Saheeh, Tabarani in al-Kabeer, Al-Albani authenticated it in Saheeh Al-Jaami' (6238).)
"There are no two Muslim parents whose three children die before reaching puberty except that Allah will enter them into Paradise due to His mercy to the children. It will be said to them, "Enter the Paradise", so they will say, "Not until our parents enter first". It will be said, "Enter the Paradise you and your parents." (Ahmad, an-Nasaa'i, and Al-Albani authenticated it in Saheeh al-Jaami' (5780).)
"'Whoever iHtasaba (remains content and patient after the death of) three of his offspring will enter Jannah.' A woman said, 'What about two?' He said, 'And two.'" (Saheeh, an-Nasaa'i, Ibn Hibban, authenticated by al-Albani in Saheeh al-Jaami (5969).)
"To no woman three children die and she remains patient and content, except that she will enter Jannah. Or two (children)." (Muslim)
9. Who raises three daughters or sisters and is nice to them
"There is no one from my Ummah who takes care of three daughters or three sisters, and is nice to them, except that they will be a veil (protection) for him from the Fire." (Saheeh, al-Bayhaqi and Al-Bukhari in Al-Adab, authenticated by Al-Albani in Saheeh Al-Jaami' (5372).)
10. Defending the honor of a Muslim
"Whoever defends the honor of his brother in absence has the right over Allah to be freed from the Fire." (Saheeh, Ahmad, al-Tabarani. Authenticated by Al-Albani in Saheeh al-Jaami' (6240).) Al-Manaawi commented" "'Whoever is limited to other than the disbeliever and public wrongdoer." (Fayd al-Qadeer 6:136)
11. Ihklas (sincerity) to Allah
No servant who says 'la ilaha ill Allah', seeking the pleasure of Allah, will reach the Day of Judgment, except that Allah will forbid the Fire for him. (Ahmad, al-Bukhari) Hafidh Ibn Hajr said, "It's not like that (i.e. not entering the Fire at all) for everyone who believed in Tawheed and worshipped, but it is specific for the sincere, and sincerity (Ihklas) requires the realization of its meaning by the heart. One cannot imagine that the heart will reach that while persisting upon sins, as the heart would be filled with the love and fear of Allah, whereupon limbs will embark upon obedience and leave disobedience."
12. Crying out of fear of Allah
"No man who cried out of fear of Allah will enter the Fire until the milk returns to the udder, and dust in the path of Allah (jihad) and the smoke of the Fire cannot go together." (Ahmad, at-Tirmidhi, an-Nasaa'i and Hakim who authenticated it. Authenticated by Al-Albani in Saheeh al-Jaami' (7778).)
13. Performing the prayer in congregation for forty days while reaching the opening Takbeer
"Whoever prays to Allah for four days in congregation, reaching the opening Takbeer, will have two written for him: freedom from the Fire and freedom from hypocrisy." (Hasan. at-Tirmidhi, declared Hasan by al-Albani in Saheeh al-Jaami' (6365).)
14. Being consistent in praying four Rakats (units) before Dhuhr and after it
"Whoever is consistent in praying four units of prayer before Dhuhr and four after it, Fire will be forbidden for him." (Saheeh. Abu Dawood, An-Nasaa'i, at-Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah, al-Hakim who authenticated it. Al-Albani authenticated it in Saheeh al-Jaami' (6195).)
15. Being consistent in praying before sunrise and before sunset
"No one will enter Fire who prays before sunrise and before sunset." (Ahmad, Muslim, Abu Dawud, an-Nasaa'i)Meaning, Fajr and 'Asr prayers.
16. Dust of Jihad
"The dust of Jihad and the smoke of the Fire will never coexist within a servant, and greed and Iman will never coexist in the heart of a servant." (Saheeh. An-Nasaa’i and al-Hakim in al-Mustadrak. Authenticated by al-Albani in Saheeh al-Jaami' (7616).)
17. Killing a mushrik in war
"A Kafir and one who killed him will never be together in the Fire." (Muslim, Abu Dawud)
18. Good character
"Whoever is easy-going, easy to deal with and kindhearted, Allah will forbid the Fire for him." (Saheeh. Al-Hakim in al-Mustadrak, al-Bayhaqi, at-Tabarani. Al-Albani authenticated it in Saheeh al-Jaami' (6484).)
19. Freeing slaves
"Whoever frees a believing slave it will be his salvation from the Fire." (Saheeh, Ahmad, Abu Dawud, an-Nasaa'i. Authenticated by al-Albani (6050).)
20. Salat ut-Tasbeeh (Tasbeeh Prayer)
There is an unusual difference of opinion about this one. Scholars have greatly differed about the authenticity of the relevant narrations, with their rulings ranging from fabricated to authentic. In a narration, Al-Mustamir ar-Rayan relates, "Whoever prays it will be forgiven his past and future sins, what he did secretly and what he did openly." (Mentioned by Ibn Hajar in Ma'rifat al-Khisal al-Mukaffirah, p. 48, who said it was Hasan due to supporting narrations. Allah knows best.)

Day 27 - The origin of Zam-zam Water!
Hajar (Alayhis salaam) made use of the small amount of food that Ibrahim (Alayhis salaam) left for her and her baby, but ran out eventually and was soon thirsty and hungry-her milk dried up, her baby Ismail (Alayhis salaam) became hungry and began to cry. Hajar couldn’t afford seeing her son in pain so climbed up the hill which was later called As-Safa, to see if there was anyone in the horizon. She saw no one. She then climbed down, and reaching the valley, ran to the other hill, later called Al –Marwa, doing the same again, all this time her son twisting and turning in hunger. She repeated this seven times, and on the 7th time reached the top of the hill and heard a sound. To her amazement she found it coming from beneath the feet of Ismail (Alayhis salaam).
At that point Jibra’eel (Alayhis salaam) began digging the well of Zam-zam from beneath his feet. Hajar was excited to contain the water, it being a desert and so arid and dry-the water would seep into the ground, and she tried making a pool to contain it.
So because of her efforts to contain the water, Zam-zam amazingly became a well. One can only imagine how much Allah (swt) rewarded her.
So when experiencing challenges in life, remember that Allah may be hiding something for you in your future.
Benefits of Zam-zam water
Uncontaminated Zam-zam has been flowing from the Ka’aba for over 4000 years. Samples taken from all water sources in the world contain some germs in it. Through studies by Doctor Yahya Koshak (expert on Zam-zam) it has been proven that Zam-zam does not contain any contaminants. It is an established scientific fact that pools or water wells tend to grow vegetation such as algae– especially in warm climates. Amazingly this is not the case in the well of Zam-zam. It has remained free from biological contaminations.
Purity Evian – water from the highest part of the French Alps is renowned for its high mineral content and purity, and high percentage of bicarbonates (357mg/l). Murwiya contains 366mg/l of bicarbonates, and is purer, in fact the purest water on earth.
Healing Nature Scientific proof shows that Zam-zam contains healing components due to its higher content of calcium and magnesium salts and natural fluorides which present germicidal properties.It was reported in Sahih Muslim that the Prophet, sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said to Abu Dhār, who had stayed near the Ka’bah and its coverings for forty days and nights with no food or drink other than (Zamzam): “How long have you been here?” Abu Dhār said, “I have been here for thirty days and nights.” The Prophet, sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said, “Who has been feeding you?” He said, “I have had nothing but Zamzam water, and I have gotten so fat that I have folds of fat on my stomach. I do not feel any of the tiredness or weakness of hunger and I have not become thin.” The Prophet, sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said, “Verily, it is blessed, it is food that nourishes.” {Narrated by Imam Muslim, 2473}
Day 26 - How to increase your Taqwa during Ramadan
The origin of the word Taqwa is from the Arabic root letters wa’ ka’ ya (meaning shield) and its verb is from the word “Ittaki”. Ittaki means to be careful or to be protected or to be cautious. Taqwa is an internal compass on the path that leads towards Allah. The broader meaning and character of Taqwa is to develop one’s behavior, so as to be cautiously aware in the worship of Allah and attain nearness to Him and in so doing, perfect oneself. In other words, Taqwa is the shield against wrongdoing
1. Healthy Mind Filter your thoughts Our minds are filled with multiple things all at once. Consciousness of Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) begins with your thoughts; to filter thoughts will be the first step towards taqwa. Replace unnecessary and negative thoughts with healthy, positive thoughts.
2. Stay Away from Major and Minor Sins
Shamelessness can block your ability to attain taqwa, therefore, stay away from all forms of shamelessness. Be aware of the major and minor sins. If you make a mistake, follow it up with a good deed and make tawba.
The Messenger of Allah (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) said: “Have taqwa (fear) of Allah wherever you may be, and follow up a bad deed with a good deed which will wipe it out, and behave well towards the people.” (At- Tirmidhi)
3. Perfect Salaah
Once you have cleared your thoughts and stayed away from sins to the best of your ability, you can build greater concentration in salah. For example, perfect your salah by praying on time and reciting different surahs and understanding their meanings.
4. Pray Sunnah Salah and Qiyam-al-Layl
Salah is your main connection with Allaah (سبحانه و تعالى), increase your connection by praying additional salah. For example, wake up for Qiyam-al-Layl and pray the sunnah salah before Fajr. Set an alarm clock, and most importantly sleep early to wake up for Qiyam- al- Layl. If Qiyam – al-Layl is difficult for you, then at least make a routine to pray other sunnah salah, InshaAllaah.
5. Make continuous Dua’a to Allaah
Make time during the night or day to converse with Allah (سبحانه و تعالى). If you aren’t asking for something specific, just thank Allah for His blessings and favors He has granted you. We can never thank Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) enough! The time of Qiyam is a good time to make dua to Allah, as well as other times the Prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسل) mentioned (on Fridays, Fajr, after Asr and Maghrib, etc.) Always remember the Ummah in your duas, especially with all the sufferings we are facing today.
6. Incorporate Sunnah into your life The Prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسل) has taught us many duas to help us be conscious of Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) throughout the day. Memorize some daily dua. For example, say the dua when waking up in the morning and when leaving the house.
For waking up: ‘All praise is for Allah who gave us life after having taken it from us and unto Him is the Resurrection.‘
For leaving the house: ‘In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no might nor power except with Allah.’
7. Being kind to family The Prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسل) said he is the best to his family members. We should try to follow his steps and be kind to our family as well. Especially your parents; they are our keys to Paradise.
8. Reading Quran in Arabic and in a language you understand Quran is the tool which Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) has given us so that we may attain taqwa. If Arabic isn’t your first language then read Quran in a language you understand. Understanding the words of Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) will make you more conscious and fearful of Him.
9. Implement Quran For example, if you were to read surah Al-Humazah, a lesson to take from this surah is to avoid speaking badly of others.
Ibn `Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said, “Humazah Lumazah means one who reviles and disgraces (others).” Mujahid said, “Al-Humazah is with the hand and the eye, and Al-Lumazah is with the tongue.”
You could try to avoid disgracing your Muslim sisters and brothers by avoiding backbiting.
10. Check Yourself Daily Most importantly do not stray from attaining taqwa of Allaah. Mistakes may be made, but that is why Allah is At-Tawab and Al- Ghafur. You can always turn to Allah and make dua. Allah (سبحانه و تعالى)) says to fear Him as much as you can.
“So fear Allah as much as you are able and listen and obey and spend [in the way of Allah]; it is better for yourselves. And whoever is protected from the stinginess of his soul – it is those who will be the successful.” (Surat At-Taghabun 64:16)
Day 25 - Those who remain patient, will enter Paradise
Sabr is to hold one’s soul from being impatient and displeased, holding the tongue from complaining and the body parts from harming himself or others. The word (sabr) patience in Quran and Sunnah of the beloved Prophet (PBUH) is mentioned at many places, which indicates the virtues and excellence of patience.
Types of Patience (Sabr)
Showing patience while obeying Allah by carrying out all sort of good deeds and acts of worship.
Showing patience by not committing the sins and evil deeds.
Showing patience on the trials and tribulations that Allah (SWT) decreed for us. One should not be displeased or being impatient.
Benefits of Sabr
Moreover, it is due to patience that the patient ones will receive abundance rewards for their good deeds. Almighty Allah says: “Only those who are patient shall receive their rewards in full, without reckoning.” (Az-Zumar 39:10).
Those who endure patiently will be successful both in this world and in the Hereafter. Allah (SWT) says: “O you who believe! Endure and be more patient (than your enemy), and guard your territory by stationing army units permanently at the places from where the enemy can attack you, and fear Allah, so that you may be successful.” (Al-Imran 3:200).
The patient ones deserve to enter Paradise and the angels will present them the greetings of peace and blessing. Allah the Exalted says: “Those will be rewarded with the highest place (in Paradise) because of their patience. Therein they shall be met with greetings and the word of peace and respect.” (Al-Furqan 25:75).
The key to attaining Sabr, is to remain proactive during difficult times. Here are some tips on how to maintain peace and sabr in your soul:
Say Alhamdulillah first. “The real patience is at the first stroke of a calamity”[Bukhari].
Stay away from sins
Engage in repentance
Work on increasing your taqwa And most importantly, Trust Allah (swt). Always always always remember Allah (swt) loves us and everything that befalls us is for the best. He has a perfect plan for you.

Day 24 - The 7 gates of Hell
Allah (swt) said: “Indeed the hell fire is the dwelling place of them all. It has seven gates and within each gate there is an appropriate punishment for each inhabitant…” (Hijr: 44)
While the levels of Jannah go upward, the levels of Jahannam move downwards and are 500 years spread apart.
Jahannam: The first gate is called Jahannam because the fire will scorch the faces of the men and women who enter it. Their faces will be filled with resentment and distress. The fire will eat away at their flesh and Allah (swt) says: “Every time the fire eats away their flesh We will replace it with new flesh so they can taste the punishment…” (Nisaa’:56) Keep in mind, that this is the lightest punishment.
Ladha: “There is no way out for them, except the Ladha (i.e. Fierce Blaze) will certainly scorch the inward organs and the outward flesh! It will invite everyone who turned away from following the truth, heedless of it and gathered wealth but refused to spend it in the cause of Allah…” (Ma’arij:15) The fire of Ladha will eat away at their body parts one by one, both internally and externally.
Saqar: “We will throw him into the Saqar and what will make you know what Saqar is? It is a scorching fire, it spares nothing and leaves nothing behind it will shake them vehemently and over it are nineteen angels” (Mudathir: 26-30) This level is called Saqar because it will eat up the flesh of the human being and not his bones. There are a total of four acts that will land one in Saqar: They did not offer salat, did not feed the poor, spoke vainly with those who talk in vain, and denied the Day of Recompense.
Al Hutamah: “Nay they will be thrown into Al Hutamah (i.e. Crushing Fire). And what will make you know what Al Hutamah is? The fire of Allah kindled by men and stones which scorches the hearts. Surely it is vaulted over them in pillars widely extended.” (Humazah: 4-9) Al Hutamah will shatter the bones of the human being and all the internal organs. The fire will start at the feet and burn upward until it reaches the heart. The person in the fire will turn completely black. They will cry their tears turn into blood and then the blood tears will turn into pus.
Jaheem: Jaheem is one big piece of hot coal that is bigger than the lowest heaven. The crime of those who enter Jaheem, He did not correctly believe in Allah (swt). For those who say “I believe in Allah (swt)”, however do absolutely nothing to prove their worship for the Almighty.
Sa’eer: Allah (swt) said:“And they will say: “If we had listened and used our intellect we would not be inhabitants of As Sa’eer (i.e. blazing fire)!! They confessed their sins but away with the companions of As Sa’eer” (Mulk: 10-11) This gate of Hell is called As Sa’eer because it is constantly kindling, rather it has never ceased to kindle from the moment it was created. The Sa’eer has 300 castles and in each castle there are 300 houses and in each house there are 300 types of punishments. There are scorpions and snakes, ropes, chains and shackles. There is also something call the “Pit of Agony”, which is incomparable to any other type of punishment in hell.
Al Haawiyah: “As for the one whose scales are light, then the Hawiyah will embrace him like a mother embraces her child. And what will make you know what Al Hawiyah is? It is a kindled fire burning hot.” (Al Qa’riah: 8-11) Allah (swt) said that the fire will embrace him like a mother embraces her child. In other words, those who enter Al Hawiyah will never come out. In Al Haawiyah, there is a mountain made of fire and the enemies of Allah will be laid on the faces of the mountain. Their hands will be tied to their necks and their necks will be tied to their feet. Above them will be the Zabaaniyah, the angels that guard this particular level of the hell fire. The hands of the Zabaaniyah will be like iron and when they strike one of those in the hell fire one time with their hands they let out a scream so loud that both the Jinn and mankind can hear.
Day 23 - The 8 gates and 8 levels of Jannah
“And those who feared their Lord will be led to the Garden in crowds, until behold, they arrive there. Its gates will be opened, and its keepers will say: ‘Peace be upon you! You have done well! Enter here, to dwell therein.” (Quran 39:73)
The 8 Gates:
Baabus Salaah: Those who were consistent in observing their Salaah will be granted entry through this door.
Baabul Jihad: Those who participated in Jihad will be granted entry through this door.
Baabus Sadaqah: Those who frequently gave Sadaqah will be admitted into Jannah through this door.
Baabur Rayyaan: The people who constantly observed the fast will be granted entry through this door.
Baabul Hajj: Those who observe the pilgrimage will be admitted through this door.
Baabul Kaazimeenal Ghaiz Wal Aafina Anin Naas: This door is reserved for those who suppress their anger and pardon others.
Baabul Aiman: This door is reserved for the entry of such people who are saved from reckoning and chastisement (The Awliyah).
Baabuz Zikr: Those who excessively remembered Allah will be admitted through this door.
The 8 Levels:
Jannat al- Adn: “Adn” means “recidence” and “eternal place”.“(If you do so) He will forgive you your sins, and admit you into Gardens under which rivers flow, and pleasant dwelling in Gardens of ‘Adn [‘Adn (Edn) Paradise], that is indeed the great success.” (Surah as-Saf 12)“Allah promiseth to the believers, men and women, Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide – blessed dwellings in Gardens of Eden. And – greater (far)! – acceptance from Allah. That is the supreme triumph.” (Surah at-Tawbah 72)
Jannat al- Firdaws: “Firdaws” means “garden which has all kinds of plants”. It is also described as the garden therein the grape vines. Because the Jannat al- Firdaws is over all jannahs and is superior to them, it is advised to be asked primarily. (Kutub-i Sitta)
Jannat an-Naeem: “Naim” means a prosperous and peaceful life, living in wealth, welfare and blessings. “Lo! those who believe and do good works, their Lord guideth them by their faith. Rivers will flow beneath them in the Gardens of Delight. (Jannat-an Naim)” (Surah al Yunus, 9)
Jannat al- Mawa: “Mawa” means “place to take refuge; dwelling, home.” This level is also mentioned as the abode for the martyred (shahid) and the Mumins. “But as for those who believe and do righteous deeds, for them are the Gardens of Retreat (Jannat al-Mawa)- a welcome (in reward) for what they used to do.” (Surah as- Sajdah, 19)
Dar-ul Khuld: Khuld means being eternal, everlasting; eternity, immortality. “Say: Is that (doom) better or the Garden of Immortality (Dar-ul Khuld) which is promised unto those who ward off (evil)? It will be their reward and journey’s end.” (Surah al- Furqan, 15)
Dar-ul Maqaam: Means “the essence place to stay, land to dwell eternally, the safe place.” “Who, of His grace, hath installed us in the mansion of eternity, where toil toucheth us not nor can weariness affect us.” (Surah al -Fatir, 35)
Dar-us Salaam: Means home of peace and safety; abode of well-being. “For them will be the home of peace (Paradise) with their Lord. And He will be their Protector because of what they used to do.” (Surah al An`am, 127) Dar al-salaam is a place where its speech is salaam—meaning free of all negative and evil talk. As Allah (swt) describes, “They will not hear therein ill speech or commission of sin – Only a saying: ‘Peace, peace,’” (Qur’an, 56:25-26). It is dar al-salaam because there will be no enmity nor hatred among the inhabitants of Paradise. The Prophet ﷺ said, “They will neither have differences nor hatred amongst themselves; their hearts will be as if one heart,” (Bukhari).
Illiyyun: The highest level of Jannah for the most perfect muslims. “No! Indeed, the record of the righteous is in ‘illiyyun. And what can make you know what is ‘illiyyun? It is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed” – 83:18-20. Nay!, verily, the record of the pious, that is, the record of the deeds of the believers who were sincere in their faith, is in ‘Illiyyūn — this is said to be the book [containing] all the good deeds of the angels and the believers from among the two heavy ones [sc. mankind and jinn]; but it is also said to be a place below the Throne in the seventh heaven.
