Bowie: Alan! Fancy a cup of tea?
Rickman: ALWAYS
Lemmy: Okay, we get it, "Snape." Just pass the sugar.
Did I mention we made it to BOTH Harry Potter Worlds? (And we may have worn matching Marauderās Shirts because we are nerds.) Diagon Alley is awesome. Hogsmeade is great, too. Its definitely steep to get the double park ticket needed to ride the Hogwarts Express between both parks BUT if you CAN swing it, I highly recommend it.
Kat I shot down to Orlando for a surprise trip to celebrate her bday now that Iām done with all of my 4th year rotations. We had a great time hitting up Downtown Disney, Harry Potter World (Diagon Alley & Hogsmeade both) as well as Epcotās World Showcase.
Wedding season was upon us. Time to fly back home to NJ for a quick black tie affair for a buddy I've known for the past 15 years. We do clean up nice when we aren't covered in human fluids and sleep deprived.
So my posting has been super delayed secondary to being in my LAST rotation of medical school. What?! Step 2 CS and CK are over and crushed. Two more weeks or a pediatrics elective and Iām done with all my requirements. Katrina and I have also celebrated 6 months which is pretty awesome. Hereās what 6 months looks like in 2 minutes and 50 seconds with a little help from Adobe After Effects CS5.
Katrina came to Chicago this weekend and even my 24hour trauma surgery call from 6am Friday to 7am Saturday (8 traumas; 4 gunshot wounds, 0 sleep) couldnāt keep us from hitting up some summer festivities. We started off at the once monthly Randolph Street Market, the biggest antiques market in Chicago and one of the biggest in the US. Itās an HGTV favorite. K liked the jewelry and deals whereas I liked the champagne tents and the free hot sauce samples. We followed that up with Brunch Part 1: Kaiser Tiger in the West Loop before heading off to the swarmed Wicker Park Fest. Sunday we hit Twisted Spoke in the West Loop for Brunch Part 2 for some of the best Bloodies Iāve had to date (Jalapeno Tequila bloodies anyone?) before making our way to Wrigley for the Cubs vs. Phillies. We closed out Sunday with the much more breathable Taste of Lincoln where we were up-close-and-personal with Trippinā Billies, Chicagoās own, and one of the top DMB cover bands in the country. Shout out to all the parents with their kids between 5-8years old jamming to DMB in the front row.
I canāt find much info on Sjowgren other than the few singles sheās released since March of this year but those, in and of themselves, are more than enough to get anyone started. My favorite thus far has been āSeventeen.ā Itās catchy and perfect for summer.
"I quite agree that much of the book will seem coarse, rude, bad-tempered, violently prejudiced, unconstructive -- even frankly antisocial in its point of view. Serious critics, serious librarians, serious associate professors of English will, if they read this work, dislike it intensely; at least I hope so
Edward Abbey, Desert Solitaire (a bday gift from Kās dad)
This might be one of my new favorite quotes, even more so heading into the 2016 National Residency Program Match.

I guess in the midst of USMLE Step 2 CK prep my domain ran out and someone randomly bought it which is very weird -- I mean www.34thandnow.com? Really? Who would want that other than me in 2010 when I was living on the corner of 34th St. in Philly?Ā Maybe the universe bought it in an attempt to tell me that since I started the blog during my pre-med post bacc program in 2010 (left pic) am now 2 months away from finishing my M.D. in 2015 (right pic) that I should get something more official aka www.34thandnow.org. Honestly, I think all 6 people that read this come from Tumblr or know me personally haha so it shouldnāt be a big deal.

Coachella? More like Couchella. I'm in.
I've listened to "Let You Go" by The Chainsmokers (ft. Great Good Fine OK) something like 10x in the past two days. It's quickly becoming one of my favorites on my study playlist.
