26 January 2016. Day 250.
I looked at this plant the other day at the nursery and instantly thought of the baby succulent I bought from Seoul. I don’t know the name of the plant but I really hope it will survive this time around. I am always at awe looking at the new leaves. So beautifully crafted and neat.
22 August 2016 - this died, probably because of overwatering.
Cactus is easier and less spoiled than succulents, but it's untouchable.
Almost dying since I watered it once in a week instead of in 2 weeks.
What grows (and dies) after a year 🤗
Hey :) do you know what type of succulent the plant you brought on 25 January 2016, day 249 (I think) is? I have one and can't identify it!
Hi! I'm sorry but I have no idea what is the name.☹️
Sedum Rubrotinctum… It’s either an easy feat or a nemesis.
Like most other succulents, the key to ensuring their immortal lives is to take care of their roots! Rubrotinctums without roots are surely going to die ehhe.
Mine were repotted after buying them using 70% grained soil and 30% normal soil. They were exposed to sunlight and rainwater all day long and they seem to really dig them. I wouldn’t say they love rainwater alot but they definitely can take LOTS of sunlight. Like even the afternoon ones. (just saying from my experience, you still need to try it out yourself!)
Actually rubros can be one of the easiest succulents to grow once their roots are stable. They are also one of the few succulents that like to grow air roots. Air roots are the fresh tiny roots succulents grow to absorb more moisture from the air. You can actually notice some from this picture. Saw those roots dangling from their stem like those mangrove trees? yeah those are the air roots.
I also want to add that a healthy succulents are mostly green and compact leaves. If they are red or orange it means they are stressed! My Rubros are in a state where they are growing constantly (as seen from their compact leaves) but I can’t wait for them to grow even redder! Yeah I am bad haha. And if they ain’t getting enough sunlight, their leaves will grow distant/ easy to fall off, and will slowly die!
So… definitely try this species out! Who doesn’t love these tiny jellos in their garden.
5 May 2016, day 350. This plant has been leggy since I first bought it sometime in January, even though I've placed it at the balcony where it receives the sun shine at its fullest. So I decided to behead it and propagate. Hopefully it grows and propagates well.

New succulent in the house! And look at those morning sunshine that I love <3
24 January 2016. Day 248.
Good Sunday morning! There were some vacant land on this little garden due to non survived plants, so I added some tiny jade necklaces bought yesterday. This is my second attempt to grow jade necklace.
11 November 2015, Day 174.
The last ones standing.
10 November 2015, day 173. Overwatered. So long buddy.
3 November 2015, Day 166.
This takes forever to grow at one point I thought my propagation failed. But after a few months since I repotted it (http://365ofsucculents.tumblr.com/post/123196815252/4-july-2015-day-44-this-succulent-was-too-big), it still has not withered. Please grow, succulent!
2 November 2015, day 165
When it first fall off its mother plant when I was doing some repotting, this baby was just 1/5 of what it looks like today.
1 November 2015, day 164
My overall little garden after a few months
31 October 2015, Day 163 Whatever that was left in this tiny pot. 2 plants did not survive for a reason I suspected because of over watering and underwatering. Different plant types require different watering. Since I had no idea how much water they need, perhaps I should just leave one plant in one pot for easy water monitoring.
