I'm devastated, I collapsed on my knees when I heard that Sam was no longer among us. I feel an emptiness inside me as if someone had ripped an organ out of my chest. I looked at him with great admiration, I dreamed of being able to see him live one day even if at a distance from the crowd that I would find in front of me. I thank him for bringing back my passion for bass, for teaching me that to make music you have to let out what you feel.
While I was drawing this I heard about his death and I decided to post it even if it's not finished. Rest In Peace Sam Rivers, I love you. Thank you for everything.

Rest in peace, Sam. You were the coolest bass player ever.
Limp Bizkit was the first band whose music I could hear not only listen to. One of the reasons for this were Sam’s bass lines. I mean turn on Clunk or Stuck or Re-Arranged, whatever… You can FEEL music inside like it’s something touchable.
I was very lucky to see Limp Bizkit in their original line up with Sam and Lee back in the band in 2020 just before our world went nuts. I wish this wasn’t the last time.
