Is it okay that I wanna make art slower?

I mean there dozens of videos teaching how to draw quicker and better and it’s great.

But I like taking things slow. Drawing out each line in most perfect way (especially with my lineart drawing style). Also rethinking every detail every few day after cleansing my eyes from my iPad.

But I see so many people pump out so much nice drawing in week or two and I wanna be like them, but at the same time I know my art quality will suffer because of that. Because it’s not how I do it.

It’s not much but I wanted to draw something for such occasion.

I’m working on other thing too but it will be longer till I finish those.

I was messing with some designs for furry design of LFL characters, looking for colors (can’t get the right colors for Jacob and and his dad) and all and noticed that everyone in Alden family have a name that starts with J.

Just and interesting coincidence.

Also Austin with his bun looks oddly like himself here. I’ll work a lil more on it so he’ll look less like goose grandma. (I have a few ideas and references already)

So I’m turning Lurking for love characters into their furry versions (or so I’m planing to). And I’ve been looking at geese…and why they kinda look like Austin? Or maybe I’m having some kind of psychosis?

Also what other characters furry version could be. Cause I’m my mind (and probably in a lot other peoples too) Jacob is a golden retriever, and for me maybe a salmon cause is kinda looks cool but hard to draw.

Plus I’m keep having this phrase in my head - “Golden retrieve is still a dog.” In my head meaning no matter how friendly portrayed it capable of aggression and generally always a perfect picture.

And I guess goose Austin is growing on me, maybe I’ll draw him too.

But what about others? John and June Alden or Sarah Gallucci?

I should think on it more.

I’ve been staring at this picture for too long while drawing.

So now in my head Jacob either inherited his mother’s natural eyeliner or his eyes are simply sinking into his scull from lack of sleep and too much screen time. Like he legitimately has raccoon like circles around his eyes.

I know it’s kinda of old art by now but still.
