My guitar teacher Barbara who did all the work to make my beautiful guitar Marjorie sparkle shared the story on her business Facebook page. She also shared how she became a full on @taylorswift fan because of me always talking about her.

Twenty five years ago on Valentine’s Day I married the love of my life live on the radio at the Hard Rock Cafe in Boston. We had only been together nine months. This year being the silver anniversary I asked for a custom sparkly silver guitar like @taylorswift. I’ve been taking lessons for fun bit a while now. My guitar teacher owns the shop and makes handcrafted custom guitars. I always name my guitars. My first guitar was called 13. She was traded toward this sparkly goddess Marjorie. As a huge fan of Taylor I have managed to convert my teacher into a swiftly. My husband knows how much I love and appreciate music and even though he was laid off in September he found a way to give me something so beautiful. I was 21 when I got married so I’ve been with him longer than the time I wasn’t. I look forward to many more years together and him happily enduring my love of all things @taylorswift. I couldn’t think of a better time for love story Taylor Swift’s version to come out. It’s definitely a love story and baby just said yes 💛💛

I was struck the other day with the fact that @taylorswift will be 31 on th 13th. Which is like a backwards 13. I feel like this has to be a big deal.

@taylorswift performing Betty makes me so happy. She makes me very happy in general. I know I’m such a dork and that’s okay. I especially enjoyed it today because we found out yesterday my husband lost his job of over 20 years. He’s the primary bread winner and carries the insurance. But for just a few moments tonight I didn’t have a care in the world. Just pure joy watching Taylor perform.

So I started taking guitar lessons in February. It as a way to make time for myself. I recently got a new guitar this is 13, yes I named my guitar and I’m sure you can guess where the name comes from. The guitar I was using at first named Zazzalil had been around since Fearless came out. My daughter was 7 and loved @taylorswift and want to play guitar. My husband got a guitar too so he could learn with her. That is the guitar I was using. My guitar teacher noticed my low e string was sitting to high making it difficult to play. The guitar had been around a long time as I said and we probably didn’t store it properly so the neck was sort of twisted. Such a long story to say I got a new guitar. Anyway knowing how much I love @taylorswift my teacher finally has me worried on one of her songs Love Story. I’d say it’s a perfect first song to learn. My 46 year old fingers aren’t as long and sleek as Taylor’s so it’s taking lots of practice. Which I try to carve out of each day. With a full time job and two kids I do what I can. I don’t have a natural talent but I have a good ear and I love music. For me it’s a fun hobby but it’s really given me a greater respect for just how talented @taylorswift is. She makes it look so smooth and effortless. I know she’s been playing a long time and she wrote the songs so of course she knows how to play them but anyway she’s incredible and I’m in awe of her talent and so glad I’m able to truly appreciate it. I’m a little better at taking artsy pictures of my guitar than playing it at the moment.

I was practicing guitar and River Song jumped up and laid down. I don’t think she likes the noise and she wanted me to stop. Maybe I’m making excuses because practice is hard

It’s September in New England and it’s finally hoodie weather. You know what that means? I’m hanging out in my hoodie listening to Red.

So I mentioned a while back that I started taking guitar lessons. I’m 46 but it’s never too late to be brand new right? I hope the first song I learned would be @taylorswift but it wasn’t. However the first @taylorswift so I’m learning is Love Story. I find myself once again in awe of her talent because it hasn’t been easy. My hands still hurt after tonight’s lesson. It’s totally worth it though and the finger picking is fun. One day I hope to smoothly make cord changes. Until that day I’ll continue to strum along.

So I wrote something recently I’m not sure if you’d call it a poem or prose. It was about growing up in the shadow of grief and loneliness. I share this with my mother and father. It honestly didn’t paint them in the best light but got the feelings out. After reading it my mother told me that sounds like something that singer you like would write. And I was like @taylorswift? And she said yeah Taylor Swift. I don’t think she even realizes just how big of a compliment that is to me.

Our foster boy Ruru has a tendency to over groom so I got mom a T-shirt to protect his back. I love that I found a shirt that’s almost a @taylorswift lyric this is why we can’t have nice thing.

I started taking guitar lessons sons back in February. Then of course she we went on lock down but I’ve gotten back to it. Socially distanced wearing a mask of course. Any way she finally started teaching me a @taylorswift song. She’s teaching me “Love Story”. Tonight I spent a good amount of my lesson talking about “Folklore” and I played her a few songs before I left. We joked as I was leaving that I’m always promoting Taylor Swift.
