Consistency

Most girls just want a little bit of consistency in their relationships. I, like most other girls, run on a weekly schedule. Thursdays I have a party and finish a handle of fireball by myself, Friday I wake up, not hungover by some fucking miracle, to do some adult like shit, and on Monday’s I work 7 AM until noon and afterwards I go take a nap on my girlfriend’s couch cuddled up to her and a dog until about 6 PM.

With all of that being said, The other six days of the week of my life need a little bit more consistency. Do what you say you’re going to do. Don’t say “lunch?” unless you're going to take my ass out to a fucking Red Lobster, every fucking week, my girlfriend or not. I thrive off of consistency and commitment. If I’m discontented you have probably fucked up big time. One of the things that my girlfriend says she enjoys is my lack of concern. Like, my lack of fucks. We don’t talk for 3 days? It’s because I’m fucking busy and you are the last thing on my mind when money is the first. I’ll fucking get back to you. Leave a message.

My close friends know how much of a creature of habit I am. I try to develop habits in order to see my friends. On Wednesdays I go see one of my dear friends at her work and we spend one of her smoke breaks hoopin’ and hollering’ in one of our cars. Aside from living with two of my girls, I don’t really see a ton of my friends - not that I have many anyway. I keep my circle small and my beer cold.

With all of that being said, I do a lot of traveling for work. I do equally as much traveling in order to maintain healthy relationships with those I cherish. Let’s work a little harder on not who we let in, but what we do to keep them around.
