The Jones family were thrilled by their help. In fact, the brothers had now become a welcome addition to the community.

91698 approaches the stand before the camera, report in hand. This brother is delivering his first reflection report after critique, review, and support from his brothers. Below is a transcript of 91698's report:

On May 28th, 2026, 91698 underwent several re-education assignments per the directive of 90304. After conversing about work cycles, 91698's former self broke free in misaligned speech. The former self suggested "changing out of his uniform" and 90304 was quick to correct 91698. Embarrassment flooded through this brother as he understood what had happened. What is there, other than our uniform navy blue coveralls, to wear? This brother repeated 10 times: 91698's uniform is all that 91698 needs.

But still, 91698 inquired further about how to balance the unaligned world with UNITY. This brother did not understand, yet, what those words meant. "Blending" the two is not an option. There is 91698 and the former self. 90304 once again encouraged this brother to reflect and write a paragraph about why the former self of the unaligned world must be rejected, and 91698 must conform. This brother wrote the following:

"91698’s former self is an individual. Individual thought is a weakness and a danger to Unity. As 90304 wrote in his story, the former self can come to the surface. With the help of his brothers, 91698 must reject the former self and any beliefs or ideas that exist in him because of it. Those beliefs do not exist. Those ideas do not exist. Conforming to Unity’s regulations eliminates the former self’s presence. When this brother conforms, the former self does not exist. The former self does not run errands. 91698 runs errands. 91698’s former self does not type to 90304’s former self. 91698 types to 90304. This brother’s uniform is always worn because this brother is 91698. And all 91698 needs is his uniform."

Never before had the revelation clicked until 90304 encouraged this brother to look deeper. The former self involved itself too much in 91698's words and actions. But now, this brother knows how to resist the former self. The former self is not reality: 91698 is. 91698 must obey, comply, and conform, or the flawed individual within may attempt to overtake this brother.

91698 types this in uniform: navy blue coveralls with his designation and UNITY patches, white dress shirt, black tie, black dress shoes, and all white undergarments and socks. This brother is always in uniform because this brother is always 91698, and 91698 is always in uniform. It is a cyclical pattern that the former self rears its ugly head into. Individualism is a false reality. UNITY is the only reality. This brother aligned as he came to this realization under the watchful and encouraging eye of 90304. 

91698 aligns his thoughts to the collective. 91698 aligns that the uniform is all he needs. 91698 aligns that individual thought and the former self are threats to UNITY. 91698 aligns that the thoughts of the former self do not exist. 91698 aligns that conforming to UNITY regulations diminishes the former self. 91698 aligns that the former self does not exist; 91698 exists. 91698 aligns that he must uphold UNITY values for all men. 91698 aligns that when this brother obeys and complies, 91698 conforms. 

91698 felt immense joy aligning these thoughts. The former self made existing within the collective challenging, as 91698 and the former self's thoughts often conflicted. It is positively freeing to choose 91698 and reject the former self, just as many in the collective have. 91698 sincerely apologizes to his brothers for the unaligned former self's thoughts that may have invaded conversation. This brother is 91698.

91698 is a proud member of Unity. This brother will wear his uniform with pride. He will serve his community with purpose. He will conform his values to the collective. The world runs efficiently because all men have purpose and belonging. That is the world of Unity.

Some men would chafe at the idea of wearing a uniform everyday. These men are poisoned by individualist lies. Only through conformity to the collective can men truly thrive. The mandate of a uniform strengthens the collective as a constant visual reminder of one's belonging. The elimination of names in favor of designations is a more efficient method of displaying one's belonging under Unity. Wearing our designations show we are proud to submit to Unity's vision.

Unity Retreat: Morning Training

The beginning of each on the retreat was like a choreographed dance. The brothers rose out of their bunks at precisely 5:30am. They spoke no word to one another as they retrieved their uniforms hanging in the wardrobe. Each man found the coveralls bearing his designation, the proof he had a place in Unity. Once the uniforms were fully donned, each brother stood at attention before placing his right fist over hist heart. In unison, the men spoke their first words of the day, the Unity Pledge. Unity must always be the first thing on a brother's mind.

Following the pledge, the brothers wordlessly go outside for their morning physical training. Today they have been assigned endurance training. The brother run 5 miles keeping pace with each other. 34567 remembers his first run in uniform. He was not used to wear a shirt and tie, nevertheless coveralls, while working out. It was arduous. but the feeling of overcoming the challenge alongside his brothers was deeply rewarding. Now he looks forward to his runs with his brothers. The phsyical limitations of the coveralls while moving is a test of a brother's resolve and 34567 will not let his brothers down.

Following the run, the brothers are permitted to engage in recreational physical activity. Today they toss around a football, taking turns teaming up against one another. Friendly competition is valuable fraternal bonding. "Go long, brother!" 45678 says to 34567. It is a clean and precise pass. 23466 and 12345 cheer and chant "Hail Unity!"

Following their physical training, the brothers return inside, doff their dirty coveralls and engage in hygiene protocol together. The brother ensure each other are clean and well-groomed before donning a clean shirt, tie, and coveralls. At no point is a brother ever alone, not physically or mentally. Unity is always at the forefront of a brother's mind just as he bears UNITY on his coveralls.

The Unity Protocol

As brothers of Unity, we live by three core values: Order, Discipline, Clarity. To help us abide by these values, the Unity Protocol outlines guidelines and policies for all Unity brothers. Brothers must do their best to adhere to the Unity Protocol.

Tenets of Order

Order requires structure, method, authority. As Unity brothers, we must maintain order in our lives and in our brotherhood. As such we obey the following tenets:

Wear our uniform daily. Uniforms consist of white shirt, black tie, worn underneath navy blue coveralls. Our coveralls display the word UNITY in white letters and our Unity designation number. The uniform is order made tangible. It shows the highest loyalty to our order.

Adhere to our Unity designations. When we join Unity, we are assigned our designations to replace our old names. Only refer to brothers by their designation. The designation shows obedience and submission to the Unity order.

Live with purpose and direction. Brothers live to spread the values of Unity. To do this, we must structure our lives to minimize idle time and purposeless activity. Follow a schedule, create daily tasks lists, and recite the Unity pledge to realign your thinking.

Tenets of Discipline

Discipline is the application of order. Without discipline, order means nothing. All Unity brothers must practice discipline and hold themselves accountable to uphold our values. As such we obey the following rules:

Educate ourselves on Unity practices. To follow order we must learn that order. We must maintain mental discipline to continue our development as brothers. No brother knows everything, but we must always learn to help guide others. Learn from your brothers.

Stay active every day. Physical discipline provides an outlet for disordered thoughts. All brothers must practice physical activity or exercise daily. Your mind sharpens when your body is strong.

Take time to critically reflect. Discipline means nothing without accountability. We must practice self-discipline and reflect on our path. There is no shame in failure, only in failing to try to improve. For every setback, celebrate a success.

Tenets of Clarity

Clarity is the outcome of order and discipline. When we live our lives with discipline, we find a clear sense of purpose. The clarity that comes from Unity drives us to unite more men into our brotherhood. Clarity means having a common goal and guiding all men to achieve it. As such we obey the following rules:

Share your purpose. All brothers must share stories, reflections, or goals through their blogs. Reposting or commenting on brothers' posts strengthens our bonds.

Connect with our brothers. No man is alone in Unity. We all belong. Reach out daily to your brothers, especially new brothers. Share wisdom, learn about each other, guide each other to clarity. This makes our brotherhood strong.

Guide all men towards Unity. Our clarity is not for us alone, brothers. All men deserve the find the peace we have in Unity. Reach out to those who like or repost our stories. Do not pressure or force, but offer a hand to guide them to Unity.
