i have been thinking about this a lot. do you rememeber at the very start of the season how ichimatsu wanted to keep his distance from the AI? and do you rememeber the episode where he finally lets them spend time with him? i feel from that point he started to grow on them. i noticed how in the episode he was the one to try and chase after them. and then cut to the next scene he was depressed about it. disregarding the comical ending this leads me to belive that ichimatsu, from that one episode where he spent time with omusubi, has grown attached to them, for the kindness they showed ichimatsu. i do not know if this was a small detail or not, but it has been something i have been thinking about for a while.
