She pulls out her phone out of her pocket. She unlocks it before she shows up a picture that makes all the table jump. They expected an animal or someone but not something like that. On the screen, there is a very blurry and dark but noticeable figure with a black cloak, menacing eyes and an axe in its hand. The whole picture is so... unsettled. They don’t feel really good after looking at it, that’s a figure that’s literally out of a literal nightmare.
“What the hell is that?” Édouard exclaims.
“That is creepy as fuck,” Edgar adds. And coming from him, the others know that this is really disturbing.
“You don’t say,” she laughs nervously as she shakes her head as she puts the phone down. “That is how they came to ask for my help. They are already stressed enough with the money that they are currently losing that they wanted to see if I could do something.”
“And that poor Claude,” Rosemarie says. “How is he?”
“He is doing better but you bet that Daniel doesn’t want to leave his sight for too long, hence why he was rushing more than usual.”
“And why I don’t have any maple syrup’s stocks,” Toff now understands.
“Guys, that’s totally a new mystery!” Joseph exclaims as he rubs his hands together. “A mysterious threat over a maple farm and all.”
“I’m not sure that I want to cross path with... whatever was on the picture,” Lina then shakes her head as feels a shiver on her back, thinking about how creepy that figure was.
“Yeah, I don’t know what’s worst between coming face-to-face with real wolves or that,” Emerick nods.
“Slow... slow it... down guys... don’t... don’t you think that... we... we forgot to ask... someone before... taking... taking this case...?” Eliott points out.
