The girl in the top picture is Ah’d (3ahd), daughter of Basim al Tamimi, the person responsible for organizing the Nabi Saleh peaceful protests every week on Friday. They have been doing this for years, if they had ever posed any physical threat to the IDF, they would have been stopped years ago.

However, that they are in no danger is no reason for the IDF not to shoot people. This is Ah’d a few weeks ago with her father, after her mother was shot by the IDF.

Please keep telling us that Palestinians never try to resist peacefully. Please keep telling us that if we had “peaceful” demonstrations instead, Israelis would listen. Please keep telling us that we deserve what we’re going through because of the way we react, instead of looking into why we react the way we do.

We’ve been humbled at how so many folks across the country have come together under this banner. It’s been used in a whole bunch of different ways, some of which are not appropriate. All Lives Matter. Animals Lives Matter. All kinds of stuff. So when people approach us and want to change it, we ask the question — why do you want to change it? When we start to say ‘All lives matter’ we start to represent this post-racial narrative that quite frankly isn’t true. Of course all lives matter. Language is something that is malleable and mutable and that’s one of the beautiful things about it. But we also have to think about what’s embedded in our culture, and what’s embedded in our culture is a real fear of black folks and black lives. And a real disdain for black lives. For us it’s a not about being proprietary. It’s about, ‘What are you actually saying?’

I have a real problem with what I’ve been seeing after the non-indictment of Daniel Pantaleo, (the NYPD officer who murdered Eric Garner) and it’s the way people are brushing Mike Brown to the side to pick up on Eric Garner’s behalf. I don’t care what Mike was or wasn’t doing prior to his death. The fact of the matter is that he was killed when he shouldn’t have been, no different from Eric Garner. How dare you compare the two and say that Mike had it coming?

I watched a documentary that explained Black people’s organs are worth more. White people have been harvesting our organs for a brick because they think our organs are better and more resilient or something. I never believed George Washington had wooden teeth when they told us that in like 3rd grade that made no sense. He used slaves teeth. There are many recent cases of black people getting killed or dying in “accidents” and their organs show up missing. And it makes me think about all the black people that go missing every year.  Smh craziness
