I love the idea that with Sskk, Rashomon is a deadly and lethal ability that’s killed probably hundreds of people, but Rashomon also duals as a protective ability such as a shield or armor, and it’s not just a shield or armor for Akutagawa, it’s for Atsushi too. He can shield Atsushi, grab Atsushi and avoid him from getting hit, and he can even give Atsushi his coat for a Singularity of their abilities. That’s also why I think Atsushi would love to wear Akutagawa’s coat or even just Akutagawa’s clothing in general because he’d associate with Akutagawa surrounding him in protection

Secondly, I also love the fluffy hc that Rashomon may be an ability relatively made to be a killing machine, but Atsushi feels 100% safe in the binds of it, because he knows Akutagawa’s the user. He knows Akutagawa wouldn’t make the blades sharp. He knows Akutagawa wouldn’t hurt him. So like he’s just over here with Rashomon protectively wrapped around his waist like it’s nothing and totally couldn’t chop him in half, because of trust in Akutagawa

I’d like to imagine that Rashomon armor just subconsciously completely dissipates when Akutagawa goes to do something like cup Atsushi’s face, like one second there’s giant black claws and the next his hand is soft against Atsushi’s features, checking to see if he’s okay
