This little light of mine ... So, in today’s version of #momchronicles Ryann had “dress up in what you want to be when you grow up” day at school. My baby woke up super excited and said “Mommy, I know exactly what I want to be - I want to be a warrior princess!” Insert 😐😑🤨 Mom face - I had nothing for her to wear to look like a warrior princess, and that isn’t a real “career”, so after some finesse I convinced her to be a doctor and got her Doc McStuffins costume on. Fast forward a few hours and loads of #momguilt later, I head to the Disney store and buy my baby girl the closest thing to a princess warrior costume that I can find. Why? Because I need her to know that she can be anything she wants to be when she grows up and if she wants to be a warrior princess, then baby let’s make you the best warrior princess that you can be! ❤️⭐️😘 Always support your babies, you never know what will deter them from living their best life. #parenting #parenthood #4yearold #love #daughter #motherhood #lifelessons

OMG!!! Ryann and Junior just got their #acceptanceletter into @thekewforestschool and I can’t stop crying tears of overwhelming joy!!! All I’ve ever wanted was to give my babies the best chance at a bright future and making sure we got them into an amazing school that will foster a lifelong love of learning is a major part of that!!! Man oh man, this has been a trying month! Work has averaged 60-70 hours a week, dealing with the awful #NYC Kindergarten admissions process, restarting my PR work (anyone need a music #publicist?!), and just when I thought I’d have some days off to, idk, fold laundry, Junior comes down with pink eye in both eyes and an ear infection. I’m not complaining, and I’m not looking for praise. I say all of this to say, know when your breaking point is! Be honest with yourself and know when it’s time to push your personal pause button and focus on #selfcare.
