Magic

A very brief description of some stuff about magic

General types of magic users: *Mages - Umbrella term for magic users. *Sorcerer - Born with potential for learning magic, have a genetic disposition for one of the elements, capable of learning the others. *Witch - Born with a natural gift/affinity for magic that comes to them easily from a young age. Only capable of ever learning one element, and that element is passed down via genetics. The offspring of a witch is always a witch. Learned witches are called warlocks. *Wizard - to be added *Healers - to be added (might just get lumped in with mages/witches idk) *Oracles - to be added *Dreamwalkers - to be added Types of magic: *Elemental - fire, earth, water, air. *Light and Dark (might just get lumped in with elemental) *Arcane *Healing *God-blessed *Fae Sources of magic: *Inner reserves - draw upon self. The general form of magic, will eventually exhaust the user; how long that takes depends on how well-trained they are *The Pulse - draw upon outer sources around you for energy. Normally unable to be tapped into by general magic users. The Pulse is what’s used by beings of higher magic (elementals, fae, etc) (to be expanded upon later)
