do you have any advice on drawing expressive poses (or just poses in general)? its something you're amazing at for sure

hmm i don't have any substantial advice to give but my way of practicing was by watching a lot of action shows and making fanart inspired by how fun and dynamic their poses can be. it helped to be able to see them in motion and i'd pause a lot to watch frame by frame to really get a sense of how and why these poses work.

drawing action oriented characters forced me to step out of my comfort zone and incentivized me to recreate their movement. it felt kinda lame to simply draw a cool hero character just standing there and not jumping/flying/fighting/whatever, y'know?
