onysa is shy and reserved and has been taught to be extremely polite and act in an elegant manner since she is a princess. i havent really come up with much lore related to onysa's home planet and how their customs differentiate from earth but i at least think that monarchy doesn't function in all the same ways, but are similar in presentation, so very fancy dress and displaying an expected degree of refinement, and having a fairly large amount of power over their society but perhaps less deified than earthly royalty (but maybe not). anyways, i think when onysa visits magnolia it's her chance to live more regularly, without pressure of many people looking up to her with reverence, although that doesn't always stay the case when she goes out in public since she is visibly different, so people will bother her for that. i would think she might need/be given some form of protection/body guard particularly as a child going out, so in that case she would probably feel bad about still being treated Like somebody who can't just live and be her own person. but at least at home with magnolia, they can just play and talk and be average girls. i think that magnolia's mom would treat onysa like her own daughter as well whenever she is there, making an effort to treat them the same and make onysa really feel at home and like she can just be herself. i think their dad would be similarly good-hearted generally but i imagine him being pretty distant and busy with work so isn't really around either of them very often. maybe he writes letters or something to make up for it, though. definitely spoils both with gifts.
