Hi! So long story short, it's pretty much my life's dream to go to USAFA. Maybe it's a pretty short term goal, but it's all I got for now. Next year, I'm deciding whether or not I want to do AP, full Diploma/IB program, or partial IB. I would probably intermix and do AP classes along with IB. Do you have any experience with either program? If so, what do you think's better for the Academy? Thank you so much for what you're doing as a cadet!
I personally only took some AP classes in high school and I was able to validate junior year history here for getting a 4 on the AP World test but in order to validate most classes here you'll need at least a 4 or 5. Sorry I don't know anything about IB classes! Hope you make it here in the next few years!
How much free time do you have? Do you ever have time to yourself to like nap or something?
As a freshman not very much at all since you are always busy memorizing things and adjusting to military academy life and academics. As an upperclassman, depending on your major and extracurricular activities, you definitely have more time and can nap after lunch or in the afternoons.
If you didn't get accepted directly to USAFA, but was offered a prep school slot. Would you have taken it?
In retrospect, yes...at the time, probably not.
what are you planning on majoring ?
Computer Science as of now.
Random question... do you think girls have it "easier" at the Academy compared to guys?
To be honest, not at all. From what I've seen, girls have to work just as hard as the guys. The physical test requirements might be lower, but they do all of the same things us guys do. I give them all major props.
Im going to enlist I think, I don't know the difference in proper english. I meant by training the whole process before applying. School and fit training. Thanks :D
Haha oh I see, right on man. Best of luck to you! Take care!
Hey guys, I'm going to prepare myself one year to apply for the air force in my country, It's what I love, I just.. love it. I'm asking you what can I improve in myself to apply and what advises can you give me so I can be the best prepared person applying? ps: im going for pilot or radar control. Thanks and congratulations to ur academy and to it's great students
Hey thanks man!! We really appreciate it. Are you looking to enlist, or become an officer? That's awesome that you're so passionate about serving though! We don't start training for that until after we graduate but we have airmanship programs and stuff like that. I'd just work hard in school, get involved in leadership positions to show everyone that you can be a leader. Besides that, just keep that passion going strong!
