Woah, Introduction Post

Professional sleepyhead || Physics Major || Storyteller

Hi all! You may know me from my Home Is Where I Belong series, or my silly little Four Swords drabbles from a while back.

I go by quite a few names and pseuds, but I am mostly known as 5pace_0ut1aw or C0sm1c_R0se, and I am usually referred to as Four or Rose respectively as well.

I'm comfortable with any pronouns as well too. For obvious reasons, my age is kept private, though I am a student in the later-end of education, which should explain the inconsistent updates for whenever the semesters start/end. Nonetheless, I do try my best to keep each update spaced out between every few days to a little under 2 weeks- Depending on my workload.

Though I am far more active on Ao3, I have made this account just so I could be try being a little more social and be a closer part of communities :)

While I won't make any promises, I do like to participate in monthly challenges/events, whether it's for this (The LU or LoZ) fandom, or just for writing in general. However, I do like to finish what I start in it's entirety, so that's partly the reason why I work on such large projects sparingly!

As of now, I do not take requests nor commissions, and everything I do is purely for the fun of it.

In regards to this profile, feel free to ask me anything, whether that's character study bits such as their age/hobbies/occupation or more in-depth questions on my headcanons/AU-ifed versions of the Chains' backstories and characteristics- As I have quite a lot written down for these boys :)

If you are unsure on what to ask, it could be something as simple as the characters ages, to even the reasons behind why I chose to include certain aspects of them in this AU and not others (as well as why I choose to make them suffer ehe) I honestly don't mind as long as everything stays civil and peaceful.

The Veteran knew he spiraled quickly, horribly, that the moment he'd trip, or perhaps willingly fall into a deep abyss in his mind, there really wasn't any coming back, and if he ever had the luxury to, then he'd never return the same, not unless he had lost something in there, a part of him.

"I just- I just can't talk about it right now." Legend tried once more, and Twilight seemed more than convinced, in fact, he felt horrible for Legend, for The poor little Veteran who was just far too frightened out of his own mind, wasn't he?

"You… Can't." He repeated, honestly, willing to listen- All Legend heard was a dubious, cynical tone.

Rather than breaking further, taking out any more angers on The Rancher, a sudden wave of pure, unbridled exhaustion crashed over The Veteran- He nearly toppled over, though his head span in repeated, thrashing circles as he swayed in his bedroll, his thin covers were the only support he had to remain upright.

"No. Want sleep." The Veteran rasped, it was all he could muster.

Day 17: "I'm worried about you." || Nightmares.

"I- I'm sorry." Legend cried, Four spat the bile that clung to his lips, a weak, pained moan in place of words. "I wish it was me instead, I wish it would take me instead Four." The Veteran begged, not just to The Smithy, but perhaps to whatever deity listened, more so had the kindness in their heart to heed Legend.

They never gave him that kindness, that was exactly why he went by that sort of name, exactly why the title of a Veteran meant all but well.

"I-I thought you would get better- I think." Legend fussed with the material of Four's tunic, from where he kept him up steady.

Four shook his head, wiping his mouth with his wrist weakly. He leaned back, taking in deep, shuddered breaths. His heart pounded and raced against his ribcage, Sky would see the deep rising and falling of his chest as he struggled to breathe, as he forced himself to calm.

"I'm sorry." The Veteran muttered, and Four stared blankly at him. He didn't quite have the energy in him to reply, to assure him back, not when his body ached for the food that it just kept resisting, not when any of his efforts to recover and eat would simply be thrown back up. Certainly not.

Day 16: "Take me instead!" || Whimper

I hate the push that you can quit addictions by pure willpower because it perpetuates the idea that people who can't have committed a moral failing of some kind. We all may know some people who did quit an addiction cold turkey, and with no aid, you may be one of them. And that's fantastic, but it is not the norm. It is more than okay to need help to quit an addiction. Relapse is also part of the process. Many people relapse several times before they are able to quit for good. Let's have compassion.

ALCOHOL. It’s a very common dependence and cold turkey CAN KILL YOU. A lot of people don’t know this. Doctors can literally prescribe beer in the ER to save a life.

"Don't do that." The Captain hissed, pulling Wild's hand off the injury.

The Champion went completely rigid at that, and something in Time's pitying expression shifted.

It looked like he wanted to say something, do something even, but he didn't, so Wild didn't have any more in him than to yield to Warriors, and to stare pleadingly at Time, helpless even.

"What's that look for? Warriors meanly spat, and Wild hung his head low in an unspoken apology. That made Time speak up, that made him unwilling to watch any more of this unfold, for Wild to any more upset.

"Stop it, Wars." He warned. "He won't cooperate with us like this, not if you keep scaring him."

Wild shifted, he even crawled back a little, only when he was sure that Warriors attention was on Time, who dared to speak back to him.

It didn't sound like Time was trying to help him, trying to save him. It sounded as though they wanted something from Wild, they spoke of The Champion as though he wasn't there, as though he hadn't any feelings of his own.

"He clearly needs stitches." The Captain countered, no room in his tone for Time's niceties. "Any longer we sit on this, we put The Champion in any more unnecessary danger."

Day 15: "Don't move!" || Bite

"Have you seen-"

The Hero of Time dove to Wind's side at an instant, heavy armor and weaponry clattering loudly against itself. Time took the Sailor's head in his lap, a gloved hand hovering over at his neck, checking his pulse.

"What?" Warriors scowled, more so when Time looked up at him, angered frustrated. The Captain simply leaned on his sword, the tip driven down to the earth below, it was the same sword that he dared hit Wind with. "'It's not like I did it. He'll live."

"He'll live??" Time mocked in what appeared to be pure horror, a hand firmly pressed at The Sailor's forehead, he'd assume it would be a fever of sorts, perhaps he was ill.

"You heard me right. Wind needs proper training- He needs to be better." Warriors adjusted his scarf, and Time blinked in downright disbelief. "He's far too old to be a liability anymore, to be worth protecting."

"Liability- What is the matter with you?!" Time stuttered, and The Captain scowled downwards, gesturing at Wind lazily with a wave of his sword, and another arm pressed to his waist.

"He needs to know how to protect himself, Time." Warriors explained. "Any longer and he'll slow us down further. We can't afford any more setbacks."

Day 14: "Do it again." || Trembling

Legend continued, "There were two more people. They both had masks. One of them took Four, and when I walked in, he was-" Legend gagged. "Four's arm was-"

"I know, Ledge. You don't need to say anymore of it. I understand." Warriors held up a hand.

"Yeah. That. But the other person… Was on my side?"

Warriors shot him a look of pure confusion. That was expected.

"Exactly my point." Legend swished the steaming contents in the mug, breathing in the comforting aroma. "He told me to run, to take Four and leave. Who was that guy?! …That's all I know. That's all that happened."

"I see…" Warriors eventually said. "You both should get some rest, it's been a long day." He picks up the empty mugs, chair screeching against the floor as he slowly got up.

"C'mon Rav. He's right." Legend extended a hand out, reaching down to the other, who was visibly falling asleep in the little nest they made in the chair with Legend's blanket.

"Let's go sleep somewhere more comfy, I don't want you to wake up all sore tomorrow morning, that's my thing." He joked, knowing that Ravio needed to smile this evening.

Besides, they both needed that short, humorous break. And Legend couldn't stand watching Ravio pout for any longer.

Time chokes on blood; He coughs it out.

Pinning the captor against the wall, blood rushes through his veins and bones. He trembles, he shakes, in rage, in remorse, in a blend of feelings he didn't yet know.

Anguish, despair, excitement, denial.

Refusal, anger, desperation, misery.

Inferior, violated, fragile, bargaining.

Horrified, depressed, nauseated, dismayed.

He couldn't register them, he couldn't feel them either.

Time felt numb, those choking hands felt painless, his pressing legs felt dead, his bodily weight, pressing the armed man to the wall felt senseless.

Nothing felt real. Time pressed harder, squeezed harder.

"I swear!" Four cried, shaking their head in frantic doubt. "I don't know what you're talking about!!"

"Lies." The masked individual spat. "You know exactly about what I'm saying." They repeated, and Four, again, fruitlessly, shook their head in an exhausted wail.

"Last chance: What do you know of Majora?"

Four writhed, trembled, and flexed against the binds. They were secured to an old chair, hands bound tightly behind their back, their twisted joints screaming in pain, and ankles fastened to the legs of the chair.

The more logical, and calm parts of Four knew that there was truly no escape, but with a thought like that, calm, and logical didn't exist.

Yet again, Four pleaded, knowing that none good would come out of their begging. "I've been trying to tell you- Nothing!!" They shouted.

The figure stepped back in feigned calmness.

Albeit, Four doubled down. "I don't know who he is, o-or what that is! A-And you know what? I don't even care about Majora-"

"I've been watching you." Was all they said. Four clammed up at an instant.

Watching Twilight was any but watching a dream that had come true, not to him, not to The Rancher.It felt piercing, heart-wrenching, to know that Four wasn't the only one. That he wasn't the only one doomed to live in such misery, such regret.

He wondered if too, Twilight had willingly smashed that mirror, if those shards he had placed back were from his sudden regret, from where his useless scrambling to fix his mistakes, to go back to where it all was.

"Twilight…" Warriors bravely began. Though he was, and traveled with those who carried the Spirit of Courage, nobody else could have seemed to find it within them to speak up, to even utter a word.

"Shut up!" The Rancher yelled, though the little wail it had petered off to hadn't been missed at all.

The Captain frowned, taking off his scarf. He stepped forward, draping it over The Rancher's shoulders in a silent apology of sorts. Twilight didn't accept it, not his hands tightened around the rim of the mirror, not when he hung his head low and rather accepted the tears that fell to his lap, that fell to the cracked floor.

Day 13: "I'll never stop." || Obsession

"It's nothing." He looked down in defeat, and tears began to well up in his eyes. Four's fists clenched over his strewn tunic, he didn't have it in him to hurriedly bring it back over him, to panic and hide. No. He didn't do any of it.

"No…" Hyrule began, his voice too wet and quavery for Four's liking. "No." He repeated. "Don't lie to me."

Sky hissed between his teeth as he got a closer look, as he was able to count and group the perfectly straight lines that stretched and warped as Four sniffed, as his shoulders began to tremble softly- There was nothing soft about this, not the raised scars, and certainly not his silent sobs.

"Why would you do that to yourself?" Hyrule, The Healer, the boy whose blood was sought after, who had to cauterize any injury, had to keep himself safe, healthy, to protect the land, cried.

But it was clear that this sort of question wasn't welcome, wasn't something that Hyrule should have said.

Four, whose legs were pinned to the floor, who could move or escape or run, simply cried. Helplessness, despair crashed over The Smithy, and he couldn't help but weep into his hands.

Day 12: "Don't lie to me." || Hidden injury.

"Well?" Twilight's voice broke. His hands trembled, unsure whether it was the fear of Warriors' change of demeanor, or perhaps the boiling anger within him. "Out with it then, Captain!"

It was a sniffle. A sudden inhale was all it took to beckon everybody's attention, who watched in awkward quietude, who backed from Twilight's fuming anger, shifting uncomfortably at Warriors' sudden silence. Time shifted, the metal of his sword clinking with his armored plates. "Sky, take the others ahead for me, we'll catch up soon enough."

The Chosen Hero waited no longer before ushering the others away. Time internally mumbled a thanking to The Three, but didn't dare dwell any more.

Ignoring the bulk of metal plates, and the aching of his joints, Time plopped down on the sands, legs crossed and glare patient. Twilight blinked at him a few times, and Warriors had a hand pressed to his mouth, forcibly silencing his sobs.

"Warriors," Time called softly.

The Captain turned away.

"Wars, come here…" He tried again, and Warriors hid behind his trembling, quivering back, bowing his head down. He shook his head, the motion wrenching out a sob too loud that he couldn't muffle behind his dampened hands.

Day 9: "I've made a mistake." || Crying

"Better?" He asked, and Four stared up blearily at The Traveler before blinking slowly a few times.

After a couple beats of silence, eyes flashing from the rich Violet to a deep Red before returning quickly back to that same sort of Violet, Four nodded.

"Tired." Mustering up the little energy and effort he had left, Four replied, and Hyrule couldn't help but envy how The Smithy, what it was to be cared for, and what it was to be able to rest and recover as he pleased.

Hyrule didn't have that luxury. Not if he wanted to remain valuable and useful to the team. And especially not if he wanted to continue being as perfect as he was, as he always was, and always would be.

Shooting upright to his feet, whipping his head in search of anybody else who may need his help, any other problem and issue that may need his fixing, a sudden, overwhelming wave of nausea crashed through him.

Hyrule blinked a few times, rubbing his eyes even when the dancing dark yet colorful spots hadn't abated. Exhaustion, like crawling and biting vines, crept up and around him, vicing over his ankles, wrists, neck even. Even so, with all the need and perfection he had in him, that Hyrule, no matter what, gave no attention.

Day 8: "Don't you dare" || Protective.

But instead, The Chosen Hero had found himself landing on something much softer, far sooner than he expected.

"Whoops." The Rancher caught Sky by the sides, and Sky nearly flinched out his own damp and flushed skin.

Sky froze, forcing himself to not melt and lean into the contact. The sort of contact his sore and fever-ridden body begged for. His legs panged in pain as he shifted lightly, trying to move. A heavy reminder of himself pushing far past than what he should have.

"Careful." Twilight guided Sky back a little, only letting go of The Chosen Hero when he was sure Sky would stay upright, wouldn't topple over himself again. "Can you hear me?"

Sky nodded, though he didn't fight against the confused little pout that tugged at his lips as Twilight situated him and leaned back. That addicting warmth from the embrace now a distant memory. "What happened?"

"You fell on me- Passed out actually." Twilight added, correcting himself with an upset scowl. Not at Sky, but more so at himself.

"Oh. Sorry." Sky felt like he needed to say. Twilight gave a pitying, little smile when Sky thought he'd frown, or maybe even scowl at Sky rather than at his own festering guilt of mistakes.
