tbh i dont get why the argument "zutara shippers are just self inserting as katara" is a thing like??? so what??? 😭 i assume a lot of kids did that and i do think is not that common that a full grown adult self insert themselves as katara but even if that's the case i don't see the problem ships are meant to be fun and usually a person ships 2 ppl because somehow they relate to the characters or the story or is just for fun, me personally as a kid i didn't like katara cuz a lot of internalized misoginy (now is my fav) but EVEN THEN with little to none media literacy i saw the cues and the baiting and the posibilities and i totally thought zutara was a thing lmao
