why does every single job require you to be a friendly outgoing sociable good at socializing person like if im applying alongside 20 other people to help with student events do i really have to have customer service skills? cant i just be like.. an event roadie? i have like 5 years experience in walking around and setting up decorations and making posters and following directions or whatever but noooo none of that matters i have to be good at EYE CONTACT INSTEAD

and the reality of how stupid i look is really dawning on me because for most of these jobs im gonna have to do a video interview and the backdrop where my webcam would be facing right now is my bed covered in stuffed animals and my wall which has two big sonic and minecraft posters on it like who is going to hire me for anything when i look like a literal child like im so fucked
