5 Years | 1 Thesis

My contention deals with the mediation of local and global networks in contemporary urbanism. The project itself is a housing/hotel/market complex in Poti, Georgia that--playing off the recent failures of Lazika--mediates Poti's local and global networks at a more intricate scale.

sorry it's been a little bit since the last update...we've all got our 2nd thesis reviews this week so it's been kinda hectic...

so in the mean time, here's a super super super rough draft of one of my renderings! the model was made in Cinema 4D and the photo is from here

as i like to call them, these are the rotational massing diagrams. the design of the complex is going to be derived from several different vantage points, 4 of which are from the hypothetical points of view of the City, the Residents, the Tourists, and the Market. then each view represents a different way of viewing the project (from different vantage points that sometimes do, but also sometimes don't, correspond with the four characters.)
