This would be #63. Sleep tight!
**Prussian Parasol** Clawing my back from a painting hiatus with something simple, minimal and monochrome. #the100dayproject ended yesterday but why let that even matter, right? 😄 #InstaSize #the100dayproject#60daysketch #parasol #umbrella#prussian #blue #watercolor
**Blackout Poornima**
#61 and I'm still seeing...or should I say painting stars! Poornima is the Indo-Nepalese name for the full moon.

**Nirvana Nebula** #60 is inspired by a photo I saw of the Eagle Nebula, which is some 7000 light years away from us.
This one definitely feels like a landmark painting for me in some way. It is bigger than I'm usually comfortable with and it was truly one that was just pure, unadulterated bliss to work on. With every brushstroke, the painting almost revealed itself to me layer by layer! I started off just spraying masking fluid on my blank canvas in a random fashion. So I basically had no idea how many stars I had painted or where they were. Then I proceeded to add the colours and after much patient drying, I had the most fun erasing the masking fluid away to reveal a gazillion stars! #InstaSize #60daysketch#the100dayproject #watercolor #galaxy#stars #nebula
**Naadhaswaram**
This double-reed, Carnatic wind instrument is a key feature in grand auspicious occasions such as weddings and temple festivals in South India. Fashioned from the wood of the Aacha tree, it is said that the older the wood, the better it is for the making of this 'Mangala vaadhyam (auspicious instrument)'.
Once considered to be an instrument of royal status (Raja vaadhyam), the nadhaswaram makers and artistes are languishing today thanks to lack of efforts to preserve and pass the art on to future generations. #the100dayproject #60daysketch#watercolor #carnatic #music #india#naadhaswaram
**The Morsing**
Morsing, the Jew’s Harp, is an instrument predominantly seen as an accompaniment to the main percussion in a Carnatic Music concerts. The Morsing is held between the artiste's teeth supported with one hand, their other hand plucks the instrument to produce sound all the while sucking air in through it. The Morsing requires many years to master and is a difficult instrument to learn. The biggest risk is that of the player slitting their tongue. Sadly, today these instruments are rare to come by and their quaint musical drone is fast fading. Do yourself and the Morsing a favour and listen to some Morsing music to reacquaint yourself with its strange charm. #the100dayproject #60daysketch#watercolor #carnatic #music #morsing#india

"I am the lover's gift; I am the wedding wreath; I am the memory of a moment of happiness; I am the last gift of the living to the dead; I am a part of joy and a part of sorrow." —Kahlil Gibran #InstaSize #the100dayproject#60daysketch #watercolor #flower #kahlil#gibran

**Incandescent**
Turns out Edison was neither the first nor the only person to invent the incandescent lamp! Hiram Maxim in the U.S., and both George Lane-Fox and Joseph Swan in England were up to the same thing simultaneously! Great minds think alike. Check out how their bulbs looked!
