Might as well. A quick about post for those that can't access my about page or don't feel like reading the 129310239 paragraphs I have on there.
Hi, I'm Jason, your friendly neighborhood comics fan, with an emphasis on Marvel and DC plus the occasional indie. I sometimes post about the MCU and Star Wars.
Yes, I know it’s hilarious for me to have a Marvel-based URL but post mostly about DC. I’ll start posting about Marvel again once they start releasing things that are actually good.
If you couldn’t tell, I absolutely love Tony Stark. He is my blorbo, my babygirl, my sunshine, etc. etc. If you don’t like him, then 1) what are you doing here? and 2) no, seriously, what are you doing here?
Besides Iron Man, I also like the X-Men (an X-Men and Avengers fan? Say it ain’t so!), specifically Gambit, Jean Grey, and Jubilee. I think them turning Kamala into a mutant is stupid (as I usually do when it comes to MCU synergy) and I’m ignoring it for the sake of my own sanity... and also because I’m possibly one of the only 20 Inhumans fans on the face of the planet. They could never make me hate you, Crystal </3 Keep an eye out for appearances from Steve Rogers. He likes sneaking his way in here from time to time.
For DC, I’m quite fond of the Batfamily, with my favorites being Jason Todd (I know), Barbara Gordon, and Cassandra Cain. I’m also Booster Gold’s #1 fan. Jo Mullein, Jessica Cruz, and Kyle Rayner my beloveds <3 I believe everyone should read Justice League International/Justice League America by Giffen and DeMatteis.
I have not watched WandaVision or TFATWS (or anything on Disney+) and at this point I'm too afraid to start. I have not kept up with the MCU since Endgame, so any knowledge of projects past that point is going to be shoddy at best. Apologies.
My Iron Man comic suggestions are vol. 1, vol. 3 (stop at #50) (trust me), and vol. 4. Very happy to say that I can recommend Invincible Iron Man vol. 5 and Iron Man vol. 7 as well. Feel free to also check out: I Am Iron Man, Captain America/Iron Man, Iron Man: Fatal Frontier, Darkhold: Iron Man, and Doomquest. For his appearances in other books, try The Avengers (...pretty much any of them, though I do have a soft spot for the classic ‘60′s), Unbeatable Squirrel Girl, Ms. Marvel, and West Coast Avengers (2024).
I’ll try to update the above list and I remember more runs/other runs that I think are notable get published.
My main blog is @anderfels, where I post about video games and anything not related to Marvel, DC, or Star Wars. I like Dragon Age, Mass Effect, and Assassin's Creed. Also Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure.
All I do is complain about Rumiko Fujikawa's death and eat phở. Chip Zdarsky DNI. Any other questions? Feel free to send me an ask. Just don’t be weird.
