George Russell has moved up 10+ positions after starting from the back of the grid due to various acts of sabotage by Mercedes over the course of three years

2023 - P18 to P6 after Mercedes sent him on track too late during q1

2024 - P17 to P8 after Mercedes sent him into Q1 without enough fuel to complete a lap

2026 - P21 to P6 after Mercedes started the car incorrectly, triggering the anti-stall, and he remained stuck. His engine also cracked open during qualy and caused a fluid leak on his tires, which were consequently cold and slippery

i’m not even a kimi hater, but i’m so so so so so sick of people saying that he’s so much better than george.

George won two times last year, and then they bring out the “oh well he’s new to f1”, which is the same thing they use to prove that he’s the next superstar and youngest person ever in the world to ever exist or something like that.

It may seem stupid to some people, but no winning doesn’t just make someone a good driver. An amazing driver is consistent, knows the rules, can do wheel to wheel, stay in track limits, provide good feedback and know their car/limits.

people are SO concerned with the results that stand on their screen and immediately jumping to who the better driver is.

just because george doesn’t have all of the pretty trophies and savior of the sport complex that some are so obsessed with, shouldn’t take away from your perceptions of him as a driver and how well he drives.

Team doesn't fix the same issue for an entire month; despite it and despite his car breaking down he manages to qualify in p6; team fucks up his start but he works his way around it; goes from p6 to p21, then back up to p7 in just 22 laps, in a track notorious for its difficulty when it comes to overtaking. Yea, GOAT

george apparently barely touched the gas and got way more output of gas than expected… he would have stayed on the gas car would have stalled completely and he would have needed to be brought in to the pit lane

george went off the gas to get back into the normal gas range (I guess if you can call it that) looses a lot of places puts him into anti stall obvi and he can start again

We are lucky george is a nerd…
