THIS is a mega folder containing literally everything rwby-related that is available right now on roosterteeth (+v9). rwby, fairytales, world of remnant, the grimm campaign, ice queendom (sub and dub), vtubing, all the behind-the-scenes stuff. everything.

plus soundtracks for every volume + IQ, and drm-free epubs.

i will add any additional rwby content released during the wind down period as it becomes available. V1-8 have an english subtitle track embedded in the files, V9 does not because it came from CR. IQ dub has english subtitles. and for the sake of completeness i pulled all the non-english subs available on CR for V1-9 as well, those are in there as loose .ass files for the time being.

whenever possible, buy physical media. learn how to strip drm out of digital content that you own and make it a habit to do so.

i’ve got the official manga anthology in there; if anyone’s got kindle editions of the comics or anything else it’s pretty easy to strip drm and convert to generic formats using calibre. lots of tutorials online but the basic setup is:

install kindle version 1.17 for pc, turn off auto-updates, sign into your amazon account and download the books you want

install latest version of calibre

download latest stable release of noDRM, and add the plugin to calibre

import books to convert into calibre (they’ll be in your documents folder under My Kindle Content)

and then you can just convert; noDRM works automatically in the background. for comics you’ll get best results converting azw3 to zip, then rename the extension to cbz, then convert from cbz to epub. adjust settings under comic input when converting from cbz as needed, may take a bit of experimenting.

Minor update

I managed to find some really awesome stuff and wanted to give huge props to @blakeplusplus they're doing good work over on their server Archive of Pimps and they got a TON of stuff over there like The session, volumes 1 and 2 of the RWBY IQ manga, and the torrent files of RWBY volumes 5-9 japanese dub.

I managed to find season 1 and some of season 2 of RWBY Chibi ost (I will try to get more if possible but I'll have to learn some audio clipping)

arcane headcanon 2: another single silco specific thing

-i think silco the type of guy who always got along with women/girls more naturally. he always more comfortable and connect more with them. growing up he was never a people person but getting along with girls was easier and can be friends more quickly with them. he found boys more tended to be harsh and annoying, including vander. but he still loved vander and his brutish head.

If I can add to this, there's a business man who I can't remember right now but he did a podcast where he said that he trusted women more for his company then men because men tended to be more self centered. They wanted to grow out of the company and were more likely to leave and start a rival business. On the other hand, women tend to have a 'we' mindset and want to grow with the company. I think Silco definitely realizes that women just tend to be community oriented and see a bigger picture. I think the clearest example is definitely how close he became to Sevika and how often she herself would say 'we'.

Hot take:

People who ascribe to the view the Jaune would be a better reincarnation than Oscar clearly fail to understand the characters of Ozpin, Oscar and Jaune.

Jaune by the time Ozpin reincarnates is a jaded person with a jaded worldview. That is not who Ozpin is at his core, he believes in reuniting the world, in hope and humanity.

Oscar is the same, small and idealistic, he believes in humanity more than he believes in anything else. He is who Ozpin wishes he could be and who he will end up becoming anyway through the merge.

Jaune believes in humanity yes, but he doesn’t ascribe to the same viewpoints of Oscar and Ozpin who believe in unity. When Jaune found out the truth, he set the example of division that Salem wants so desperately even if it was only temporary. When Oscar’s found out the truth, he was hurt yes but he stuck with his view of unity, convincing others of the same even when it led to Jaune, Yang and Qrow unfairly lashing out at him.

Ozpin is the same, despite being alive for a millennium he still sticks to his viewpoint of unity and has never once faltered in that view even though there were times he withdrew or became depressed, his still believed in the core objective of unity and humanity.

Jaune I think as a character becomes rightfully enraged when short term solutions aren’t enacted and go to plan. Oscar and Ozpin are both patient in the ideologies and look for the long term solution of unity.

Jaune and Ozpin are not similar whatsoever, they both want the same thing, a lot of characters want the same thing as Ozpin but they and everyone else have clashing characteristics.

Ozpin and Oscar are similar, even through the tension in their relationship they have a harmonious mindset and dynamic. They are like minded souls.

**FYI This is NOT an attack on Jaune’s character by the way. I love Jaune. His story, his narrative and his character are amazing. But he is nothing like Oz, and to see Oscar haters bash on him and say Jaune would be better as a reincarnation than Ozpin are insulting all three characters and their stories…
