lydia couldn't help but greet her friend with a wide grin the moment the door swung open. “i'm only letting you in because i want to see the cutest human in the world.” obviously, the banshee joked as she opened the door wider for the two to come in. “you know, if you called earlier, i would've prepared something for the both of you.”

“that all depends.” she spoke as she looked at isaac with curious eyes, “who are you trying to get a second chance with? and what did you do?”

"have you sensed anything lately? i hear, like . . . whispers from the dead every few hours but that's nothing terribly out of the ordinary."
“clearly, which is why i should be out there with them.” the red head stated with another huff. tossing her hair over her shoulder as she studied her surroundings before landing back on meilani, “i sense that stiles and scott are going to get themselves killed that's for sure.”

“since when were you such a rule followers? am i talking to the same guy who went looking for a dead body and broke every single rule?” the banshee teased as she pressed a kiss to his jaw, “you're driving.” with that, she turned on her heels and headed out the door.

⸻ "you realize i can smell the fear on you still, right?" scott reminded lydia, gesturing to his nose that was currently stinging from the intense smell of lydia's fear. even some of the dried blood that still caked to lydia's clothes got mixed in the scent. "if something's going on in beacon hills, i need to know, lydia."
"i already took care of it, scott." lydia sighed as she stuffed her hands into her pocket before looking up at the alpha as she chewed on the inside of her cheek, "you already do so much to save us, thought to give you a break."
