Just to add to the craziness that has been my week, I was out to eat with my mom and sister on Thursday and I managed to pick the exact same restaurant the lady that hit my mom and brother. My sis heard her talking shit about it to the people at her table!

There wasn’t a single ounce of remorse in her eyes.

This morning my brother borrowed my parents’ pickup truck to do something for his job and when he was backing up he misjudged the driveway and one of the tires went into the ditch. Nbd, normally, because it’s a very small ditch, but it had been raining all night and was still raining this morning (and dark) when he came over. He called a friend of his to come help get him out and another man passing by in a bigger truck helped pull it out of the ditch. Because it was dark and raining, both trucks had their lights on and their emergency hazards like on, as they should, to caution cars coming through. Well, after the bigger truck pulled my parents’ truck out of the ditch a car was coming down the road and didn’t stop or slow down. My brother and my mother were standing outside the truck and my brother’s friend was inside steering. The car hit the back end of the truck and it then hit my brother and my mother. It flew my brother about 15-20 feet back and mom about ten feet.

Long story long, mom was taken by ambulance to the ER, but thank fuck she didn’t break anything, she’s just sore af and is having muscle spasms and my brother has a little road rash and some soreness. 

Y’all they were okay.

All day I’ve been thanking the universe for not taking my mom and brother from me. The what-ifs have made me a nervous wreck.
