I never have time for fan art but Clarence struck a chord with me. It’s a great depiction of your childhood but it’s not a perfect one. It has a charming grittiness to it. The world in this show isn’t perfect, everything is slightly “off” in a good way, the characters are flawed, they’re all different shapes and the colors are muted at times. Though, the eye of innocence projects through the main characters. People will say it’s dumb, too simple or gross but you’re just scratching the surface. I admire a show thats grounded but can still be very cartoony. The writing is quick witted and it always puts me in a good mood. It doesn’t pander and it knows what it is. This is my favorite current cartoon out right now and deserves a watch. Good work to everyone involved.
Merry Christmas cloud! 🎄❤🎄😁
Merry Christmas!!
Ah yes, tomorrow is the time to remove the mystery cubes from beneath the festive cone and tell tales of a large red intruder
hey so, i really dig this particular style of animation but I don’t know what it’s called:
thicker lineart but with obvious weight, interesting usage of curves and angles
characters are fairly colorful but it’s more muted and retro-style, it blends with the background. sometimes colors are even more stylized for effect depending on the scenes, overall aesthetically pleasing
its generally pretty cartoony
character designs are diverse but they all retain some sort of charm, im not sure how to describe it but theyre all pretty funky and flowy and i really like that
usually big, oval-shaped, expressive as FUCK eyes
animation itself is pretty smooth and stretchy, usually traditionally animated. lots of facial expressions, very fun to look at
i know for a fact that not every early 2000s cartoon had this style but i really like it, idk if theres a specific name for it.
The style is based off of the UPA style revival kicked off in the 90s. UPA was popular with early television animation in the 50s because the more simplistic style was cheaper to produce as well as aesthetically pleasing, cartoons like Ren & Stimpy brought it back from the dead as retro cool.
This is my personal favorite style
This style seriously needs a comeback. And I’m not just saying that because it was probably the most influential to me.
0/10 movie not enough dad jokes
I would pay good money if there ever was a Miitopia manga
Guess we’re in quite the “sticky” situation

The Academy: Character Reference Sheets
Here are the first Bach of reference sheets I’ve created for my webcomic. I may not be able to complete ALL of the entire reference sheets for every character like I intended to do. But these are a good start anyway. Plus these characters are vitally more crucial in my story. :P Bios: Leland’s personality is more carefree type of guy, who has a deep relationship with his guitar “Jesse”. Yes, even though he’s an aspiring guitarist, he’s still learning. Willa, the tired artist. She keeps things mostly to herself most of the time, but she’s quite the reasonable mother figure if you will. Her only problem is that she can sometimes be too stressed to the point where she can’t think properly. And has the tendency to snap at people. (Though that happens rarely) Drawing makes her feel comfortable and imagines it as “an escape from the sharp edges of reality.” Finally, Ray. The man who loves to tinker. Or at least used to. When he finally resurrected his passion for airplanes after his dreaded years of middle school, he soon figures out that he’s more than just the class clown everyone assumes him to be.
