How are you? Where are you now?
What’s the journey you take, somehow?
Though we’re no longer one, our memories stay,
Echoes of laughter in the light of day.
We faced our challenges, side by side,
But one of us faltered, and hope had to hide.
We lost what we cherished, a love we once knew,
Tried to mend what was broken, but couldn’t pull through.
Yet, I carry no anger, no hate in my heart,
For how can I hate what was once a fine art?
My love still lingers, like a soft, gentle song,
Wishing you peace, even when we’re apart.
So here is my wish, as I say my goodbye,
May you find the love that once made us fly.
Though I’m not your half, my feelings stay true—
Always and forever, I’ll cherish you, too.
