Santa Monica storefront in 1977, in a vintage art deco structure that was likely constructed in the 1920s -’30s. Interested to know what was sold in the shop called Sane & Insane.

Woody’s Smorgasburger was a local restaurant chain started in the early ‘60s, which the first place I knew of that allowed you to build your own burger. More importantly to me, they also had a self-serve ice cream bar where you could build your own sundae.
I believe the one in the pic is the original in Culver City, but there were several all over the L.A. basin. The one I frequented the most was on Sepulveda in El Segundo, near LAX where my cousin lived, which was the last surviving location until it was finally converted to an IHOP.

The (closed) W. R. Adams & Son Jewelers in Sparks, NV. Look at the gorgeous art deco building façade, I love it so much.
