The trailer for Guillermo del Toro’s newest film The Shape of Water dropped today and I urge you all to see it and support it. It’s a dark fairytale about a mute woman who forms a connection with a humanoid sea creature that’s being studied in a lab.

It’s set during the Cold War and stars Michael Shannon and Octavia Spencer, with Sally Hawkins as the lead. Doug Jones is also in it! (I assume he’ll be playing the creature)

Movies like these tend to flop because people don’t care about original inventive films even though they say they do. Del Toro is a true artist and god of cinema and needs continued support, especially from the American fans.
